Super friendly service, the food comes quickly when it's not busy; otherwise, you'll have to wait a good 20 minutes for a sandwich. On the downside: the restrooms were so dirty, it's unacceptable. Either a customer had dropped some porridge in the restaurant, or one of the approximately 20 dogs had dropped something else. In any case, no one cleaned up the mess. Not so nice...

If I hadn't previously had a good experience here, this would have been a two-star rating We ordered a cappuccino and an Earl Grey tea. No Earl Grey tea, but she had brought a tea bag, so hot water instead. Unfortunately the water was nowhere near hot enough to make tea, but we didn't realise until it was too late The coffee was OK, not great, but the milk was sour. They quickly remade it, but they didn't flush the pipes, so it was still poor In short, willing staff, but badly managed

Feels like a bar, some beautiful but expensive merch, food options are OK. Obviously a great view. It was super busy at the weekend in the morning, even during terrible weather. There is a lot of packaging waste, many customers sit indoors with takeaway cups, quite wasteful.

McDonald's

30/06/2025: Located conveniently near the seafront in the picturesque town of Bray, Co. Wicklow, McDonald’s offers a familiar experience with a few local quirks. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite after a stroll along the promenade or stopping by on a rainy afternoon, this branch provides exactly what most expect from the global fast-food chain—speed, consistency, and affordability. The location itself is one of its stronger points. Being close to both the DART station and Bray beach, it draws in a mix of locals, students, and tourists. It’s a good pitstop, especially if you’re with kids or in need of a fast refuel during your day out. The parking space, however, is limited, and during peak times, the drive-thru can get quite busy and slightly chaotic. Inside, the restaurant is clean and well-maintained, although seating can be limited during rush hours. The layout is compact, and while it isn’t the most spacious McDonald’s, it does its job. The self-service kiosks are a major convenience, making ordering quicker and easier, especially for those who prefer contactless transactions or customization. In terms of food quality, McDonald’s Bray is pretty consistent with the brand’s standard. The fries are usually hot and crispy, and burgers are assembled neatly. The staff generally do a good job keeping up with the rush, though there are occasional delays during weekends or holidays. One plus is that they do tend to keep their McCafĂ© area well stocked and tidy, making it a decent spot for a quiet coffee if you catch it at the right time. The staff are usually friendly and patient, even when under pressure. It’s clear that they deal with a wide variety of customers daily, and they generally handle things well, although service speed can sometimes dip when it’s very busy. Overall, McDonald’s Bray doesn’t offer anything wildly different, but it doesn’t need to. It delivers on what McDonald’s promises—quick food, reliable taste, and affordability. It’s not a gourmet destination, but for what it is, it does a solid job. If you’re in Bray and craving something familiar, this McDonald’s won’t disappoint.
23/05/2025: A truly one-of-a-kind McDonald’s! Housed in Bray Town Hall, a 19th century Tudor building, this restaurant offers a dining experience steeped in history. The exposed wooden beams, stained glass windows and welcoming atmosphere make for an enjoyable meal. Service is prompt and the staff are friendly. A perfect blend of tradition and modernity that is well worth a visit!
