Catherine's Bakery in Dublin

Catherine's has nice staff. However I had to ask for a glass for my coke. When I did ask the staff offered ice which was nice. Then I got my breakfast bap. I didn't see any ketchup. I wasn't offered any condiments or checked on to see if my food was ok. The staff are nice but it's little things that could make this cafe an 'ok' to a 'great' cafe. I also tried their cream donut which was delicious. Staff in there was nice. One criticism is one staff (maybe owner/manager) let her child sit and play with an iPad or something similar and was playing stuff off the device loudly. This is annoying for most people. Then they sat elderly couple next the child. Overall this place heart. Has a good people, good food, good prices, but needs a lot of improvements on some details.

The food quality is cheap. The black pudding and beans were the most obvious ones for me, the egg looked very presentable but the white on top wasn't fully cooked. Overall the presentation is great but they need to upgrade their products they use. And then I'd return. Fresh apple juice would be better than the made from concentrated ones. Which felt like a rip off. I had the Irish breakfast. Even the bread needs to be higher quality. I could barely finish my meal but the service was amazing. If you guys make these changes to the quality of products, you'd literally be an amazing spot.

Simple restaurant with tasty breakfast! Got a veggie breakfast roll, they were out of veg sausage so put in extra hash browns, can’t complain with that! It was filling so I only ate half and had some for lunch. We also got pastries for later and they were cheap and delicious!

Fabulous food, coffee, and staff were so nice and helpful. Definitely recommend. Felt so comfortable here. Great portions also which is brilliant

I rarely write reviews, but today I was inspired by the barista at this café. I hope she’s not being held hostage and is getting paid—if she is, then she definitely needs a day off, or maybe even a different line of work altogether. I really love this café and have become a regular, so I was quite disappointed by her attitude. I understand that working in customer service and dealing with people is hard—I work in the same field myself. But I came to a café, not someone’s home demanding free food. A basic level of politeness, friendliness, and attentiveness should be the standard. The café wasn’t busy, it wasn’t noisy, and yet my order was mixed up—and then I was blamed for it. It was then mixed up again. I didn’t bother arguing, because the complete indifference in her eyes was enough, and I didn’t want to ruin my morning even more.

A very friendly cosy atmosphere and excellent service and food. Priced very fairly. 200% recommended.
