Chanapa Thai Restaurant and Takeaway in Tullamore

I’ve eaten in a lot of Thai restaurants but I can honestly say this is the best. Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection! Service fantastic too. Highly recommend if you’re looking for exceptional food.

We are a family of five who love food. Tonight was our first time at Chanapa and it was very nice! Good size portions and authentic flavours. We shared a number of dishes but my favourite was the som tam (2 chillies was hot and tasty) with sticky rice, best I've had in Ireland. It was busy by 6.30pm buth the staff were super friendly and we were well looked after. Highly recommend, if you like real Thai food.

Every time I visit Tullamore, I will never forget to drop by Chanapa. Drawing upon the premise of the craving for Thai food, Chanapa is just right with an account of the authentic flavors !!! Born and raised in Bangkok, my tongue is used to traditional Thai foods ranging from fine dining restaurants to street food stalls in Thailand and Chanapa never fails my expectations !!!

A great Thai restaurant just off the main drag. Lovely food freshly prepared. The team running it are attentive and friendly. We visited two nights running it was that good.

Their tom yum soup was wonderful. Will go again for this. Peaceful and family friendly..

Beautiful restaurant, friendly staff and great food

Enjoyed a monday night treat with a friend ,was very happy with the food , we enjoyed the satay and the chicken goyza delicious with a lovely bottle of wine very reasonably priced . Will definitely be back!

Shared a meal for 2 to celebrate an anniversary. We had the ribs and gyoza for starters, ribs were a Lillie dry, and the gyoza were just OK. 6 out of 10. For mains, we had crispy chilli chicken and garlic chilli prawns. The prawns were delicious, the crispy chicken was again just OK, the service was very good, attentive and friendly, the decor and atmosphere were nice. The main issue we had was that the mains were not served with adequate amounts of sauce. We both had rice, which was served in separate bowls, the prawn dish had enough sauce to wet 2 spoonfuls of rice, the chicken dish had slightly more, we also overheard 2 other customers asking for additional sauce for their dishes after they had been served to them. The menu does have a good selection of additional sauces that can be purchased but I would imagine that if you pay 16 or 18 euro for a main course, there should be sufficient sauce and rice to accompany the dish. Prices were reasonable, despite the small issues, it's a nice place with OK food. Overall, 6 out of 10.
