CHARCOAL GRILL in Athlone

Staff needs addressing or maybe a manger or if manager then a better manager... No one wanted to take our order then 5 of them messing and joking in front of staff. Eventually the food we got was tasty and big portions with plenty of options on the menu. Fresh salad on the side and the burger. Definitely worth a visit as something for everyone, but just don't expect a great speedy service

Not the best Very average pasta

We went in as a family of 4, 2 Adults 2 kids. And the service was great… and the food was really good. It was great value for money. The platter I ordered was very tasty but not enough for 2. But meat was very tasty and sauces were very good. We will definitely be back. Remember to bring cash as they don’t take card payment. Thanks again, Simon.

Cooked good but small portions 🥹Halal but no wine.

Luckily I had a hunger on when the bright lights of this restaurant caught my eye. I ordered lamb chops for takeaway which were delicious. I was served by a lovely friendly waitress who brought the food out to my car when it was ready. Only slight inconvenience was around payment but I had cash so it was no biggie, while on the subject I think the lamb chops are well priced at €16.50 👍

The food was delicious, the staff, especially the young waiter, are very good at their job. They need to take care of the cleaning and the toilets a little bit!
