Lovely setting. Quite full when we attended. Had to sit outside and only deducting 1 star due to the wait for service but again that was down to how busy it was

Yesterday, my family and I were visiting Dublin. We went to the Jameson Distillery and decided to grab a bite to eat before starting on the booze. I'd always heard bad things about Irish food, but this place pleasantly surprised me. The food was delicious—so delicious, in fact, that I forgot to take pictures. The service from the staff and the owner/manager was incredible; they were all so friendly. The place itself is beautiful and welcoming. Anyway, if you go to Dublin and decide to experience the Jameson Distillery, I highly recommend this place. P.S. (If you like cakes or desserts, this is the place for you.)

03/09/2026: True Traditional Dublin Chipper. Unfortunately their website is down/gone, clicking on wbste redirects to a justeat page but Aprile doesn't exist in the JE app. Also not showing on Google listing. That said: Consistently good quality, totally fresh foods - meats, spuds, and dressings like salad veg and sauces. All with properly aligned-to-consumer aka reasonable/accessible pricing (unlike the tourist trap that used to be up the road). However, I am a bit concerned that Aprile Portobello have dropped off Google Search entirely, recently. Not merely "top listing" on a Google Search. They have no visibility, and I was recently directed to C. Aprile Stillorgan (Stillorgan is not much use to potential customers in Rathmines-Terenure-HaroldsCross and surrounding areas) and a defunct JustEat page.

Base Wood Fired Pizza

23/07/2026: I’ve been in twice over the last two Mondays, and on both occasions I was served by the same short woman with dark hair. Unfortunately, she was very rude and dismissive both times. Good customer service doesn’t cost anything, but this experience has completely put me off. I won’t be back.
05/05/2026: I recommend it if you enjoy a close to authentic Italian pizza.
