Cinnamon in Dublin

Unfortunately, this restaurant has closed permanently. It will be sadly missed by regular happy customers. See my review below: The best breakfast / lunch restaurant in Monkstown bar none. Everything on the menu is delicious it’s so hard to choose. Super service too! I’m a regular and always will be. Highly recommend an early G&T.

3 stars max because the place is cosy and the coffee is good, but I wouldn’t return there for the brunch menu…branch menu is just average and not a good value for money.

Seems to have got very expensive? €16 for a veggie breakfast + €4.50!! for a small glass of orange juice.

Nothing's changed much since my last visit to Cinnamon, which is a pity, as the issues outlined in my last review would have been simple to correct. They still have a menu that advertises pizzas. They still wait for you to sit down, take your time poring over their menu. They still tell you upon ordering, 'Oh, although the menu says we do pizzas, we don't!' It's very annoying - aside from not having an accurate menu, different from the ones they have in their branch(es) that have the facilities to cook pizzas, they don't tell you they don't have something until you've decided what you want to order. The last review of Cinnamon Monkstown I did, the manager reached out to me by email. When 'The Reviewed' reach out, at least it shows they care, which I appreciate. Before writing this review however, I reached out to them to let them know my issues with their establishment. But, they did not respond. I messaged them again, but still received no response which I thought poor. Good atmosphere in the place, friendly staff; but some dodgy service, a misleading menu and poor customer relations disappoint.

Food: avocado smash eggs were too small and avocado were overpowered by lemon (when of season it's common to use that to hidden bland taste ) The ham sharded sandwich was overpowering with sauce you can barely taste the meat its like sauce with hint of tares of meat. Coffee was served correctly not burned brew just in the right aroma Service: When we got in it said wait to be served. And when was reached by a waiters they were asked if were OK as like she's not aware of a sign say wait to be seated. After being reached by the next available waiter we needed to take ourselves the menu since no one gave us the option. When we asked what recommended he gave what mentioned above (food tab) that recommended both dishes. Was not ideal and based on someone who's working in the place and seeing what's popular ordered or what's in season can tell what recommended to serve. Atmosphere: Loud but enough to talk to each other. Atmosphere was very trendy and crowded. In conclusion If service would been more pay attention for care for and aware on and food would been taking care based on right season and not overpowering but balanced flavours woykd definitely give this another go next time but if this will remain same method That's first and last visit we would've been here.

As always, the food was great and the service was so friendly. The raspberry scones are always a nice treat. The chicken in the chicken burger was cooked nicely and had a good crunch to it. The only problem, and this has occurred each time I’ve been to Cinnamon during brunch time at the weekends, is that coffees take a very long time to be made - they arrived approximately ten minutes after our food arrived during my last visit.
