Clanree Hotel in Letterkenny

The hotel didnt look great from the outside but inside is bright, clean and well maintained. The room was a good size and spotless, but oppressively warm and it made sleep difficult. It could do with air-conditioning of some sort and the fan supplied was of no help. The pool and facilities were clean and well kept. The staff throughout were really great, very friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the Clanree hotel for our 30th wedding anniversary and I have to say one of the best experiences, hotel is beautiful, staff are lovely and the hotel is ideally situated . I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would go back there again.

Beautiful Hotel.. We had a meal in the Hotel and it was lovely an such friendly staff.. Very reasonably priced an nice surroundings.. Will definitely be back 👍👍

Recommended by a fellow traveler this hotel did not disappoint. Spacious lobby, lounge areas and rooms. Pool and sauna areas well run and serviced. McGettigans lounge was a pleasure. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Harry, from India, was as Donegal as they come ~ a gentleman. Gavin was beyond helpful with local recommendations. All the staff were great.

3 stars is possibly generous but I’ll rank it based on what it should be. It’s a 3 star hotel, it certainly is not a 4 star hotel. The room appeared fine on first viewing, but when you spent time in it you notice a lot of flaws in its finish. Stains, chips missing from furniture or walls, etc. Most agregious was black mold on the grout between the shower tiles. It really just fell well below standards that it should have. Most of the staff we encountered also simply seemed a bit miserable to be there, and I didn’t really blame them. It has a handy location, and that’s about it.

Very well-located hotel. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. It has a well-equipped gym and a pool. The restaurant has a good variety of food. One of the best in the area.
