Clarkes Bar in Mullingar

We recently had the pleasure of visiting this fantastic, authentic Irish pub in Mullingar, and I honestly can’t say enough about it. There was a group of 10 of us visiting from California and from the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. The bar owner, Kieran is amazing– so welcoming, friendly, and really made us feel like part of the family. You can tell they take great pride in their pub and their community. All the bartenders are fabulous. What stood out the most, though, was how the locals welcomed us. They were incredibly warm, engaging, and just genuinely happy to have us there. It’s not often you find a place where both the staff and the customers make you feel like you’re not just a tourist, but someone they’re happy to share a pint with. They even taught us how to properly pour a pint of Guinness. There is great live music and dancing. It was such a memorable night. If you’re in Mullingar, do yourself a favor and make a stop here. It’s not just a pub – it’s a true Irish experience, filled with great conversation, great drinks, and even better people. Can’t wait to return next time we’re in town! Thank you, Kieran and staff!!

We were staying in a hotel near bye and Clakes was recommended to us and we were not disappointed, good band,played 80s music. Staff friendly and service was excellent. highly recommended

This place looks small from the outside, but it is huge inside with so many different spaces and rooms. Really nice place to go to.

My experience at clarke's was unforgettable (especially as a niall fan). The whole staff was really nice and I got to know many things about niall and spend an amazing time listening to his music while watching all the pictures and things related to him! I will definitely come here again!! And again, the staff was beyond amazing, I felt really welcomed there.

We stopped by during a trip to Mullingar as my girlfriend is a big fan of Niall Horan. The pub was amazing and the owners was very lovely and very accommodating. The pub is so cosy and and very welcoming. Had the best pint of Guinness ever. A must if you are a big fan of Niall and some Guinness
