Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge in Dublin

Nice walkable area but bathroom was moldy and the electricity didn't work well to the point we had to switch rooms. The cafe and restaurant appeared very fancy but we did not eat there

Great service. The bar is amazing and they serve food until 22:30. The managers are the best, Malica, Stefano and Mere, the servers were great, Julia, Fernanda, Erwin and Carlos

The room was not cleaned properly or in good condition. Dusty, spider webs, a spider, paint coming off walls, damaged bathtub. No fridge. No fitted sheets on the bed or proper duvet cover- or thin sheet - like a hostel bed. Person called to wrong room to fix something. Not up to standard internationally. The location is great - that's about it. Absolutely not a 4 star hotel. I will add they did attempt to resolve this in the end by switching rooms, but my kid was already asleep. I do appreciate that, bit it was a disappointing stay and serious upgrades need to be made to the rooms.

Had a fantastic stay overall. The only small issue was that the Wi-Fi was a little slow at times, but it wasn’t a major problem. I’d especially like to thank Adria at reception. He was warm, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. He went out of his way to make sure everything was taken care of and made me feel very welcome.

Quick online check in and clean rooms and very quiet and excellent location to both tram and restraunts

I stayed in a ground floor room. The room itself was clean, but unfortunately there were several issues that affected my stay. The bathtub drain was not working properly, which made showering in the morning quite unpleasant. There was also a metal cover that kept shifting over the drain, which made it even more difficult. In addition, the amenities felt quite old considering the price paid. My room (121) was located in front of the parking entrance, so it was noisy from early in the morning. There was also noticeable noise from the rainwater drainage system, which added to the disturbance. Overall, I felt quite disappointed given the price of the stay. However, breakfast was good, excellent location, and the reception staff were very nice and helpful during check-in and check-out. I didn’t raise these issues during my stay as I was already checking out, but if I had stayed another night, I would have requested a room change.

I had a wonderful stay at the Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge. The hotel itself is a beautiful building, set in lovely grounds, and its location was perfect for my visit, being just a short walk from the RDS where I was attending an event. My room was spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and, importantly, very quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep. A special mention goes to Leah on Reception, who provided such a warm and friendly welcome on arrival. It's always appreciated after a day of travelling. I'd also like to thank Julietta in the restaurant, whose service was excellent throughout my stay. The breakfast buffet was superb, with something for everyone. Whether you're looking for healthy options such as yoghurts and fruit, or a full cooked breakfast, the choice and quality were excellent. What really stood out, though, was the atmosphere in the hotel on Saturday afternoon. Between the excitement building ahead of the rugby match that evening, a wedding celebration taking place, and the live traditional Irish music, there was a real sense of warmth and occasion throughout the hotel. I genuinely wish I could have stayed an extra night. Highly recommended, and I look forward to returning.

Gabriella was kind, honest, very good at her job. Victor was very accommodating.

Great location and friendly staff but the room was dated and the main lamp and coffee machine didn't work. Loved the old charm of the hotel building but the stay wasn't very comfortable.
