Plenty of Dublin pubs claim that theirs is the best pint of Guinness in the city. Clearys actually delivers it. If great Guinness is what you are looking for, this place is honestly unmatched currently. Traditional Dublin pub layout with professional and friendly staff serving the customers. Highly recommended.

Came here on a Tuesday evening, so the bar was quiet. Had a lovely few Guinness, and there's table service in the back which was really nice.

Excellent old authentic Dublin pub, good affordable pints served by a proper Dublin barman and right beside Connolly station. You can't miss it it is right under the railway bridge into Cononlly Station. We'll be back.

Always head to Clearys when in Dublin for a match in Croke Park, before and after the game. Straight off the train at Connelly and 2 mins to the bar. You can't get better for quality, value and experience in Dublin. Hopefully I'll be going for a long time to come.

My review that I wrote all those years ago magically disappeared - shame on Google - anyway was back in Cleary's the other day - hasn't changed - still a great pub this is what I originally wrote For our next drink we went to J and M Cleary’s just under the railway bridge to Connolly Station on Amiens Street. One of my favourite old time Dublin boozers, always like to pop into this bar just so I can ogle at all the cool old style photos and pictures on the wall, mostly commemorating Irelands 1916 Rising and War of Independence. Apparently a few of the people on the photos actually used to drink in this pub too! And I was also told that the pub was used a few times as a bar room setting in the movie Michael Collins. Apart from all that, the pub had a good friendly atmosphere with some interesting characters in attendance, the bar staff were up for a good chat, and the pint of Smithwicks I had was top stuff! Overall a good experience and definitely a pub that one could easily while away a good few hours in. Recommended.

12/11/2024: I went to celebrate a birthday; everything was good, great food, and a nice atmosphere.
10/11/2024: I went there few times with my family. Food and service was every time excellent. There's a large selection of food from all around the world. Even the pickiest little human will find something to eat. I highly recommend this place.

The Ferryman

15/11/2024: Beautiful place for a drink after work. Does not have a wheelchair accessible entrance ♿ though
13/11/2024: Within the financial district of Dublin, a hotel with all the charm. In addition, just below there is a pub that even adds more charm if it could be. The rooms are adequate in space and well equipped (hairdryer, soap...), the toilets are also very good.
