Advice for the restaurant section: typical and quiet restaurant. We were alone at 2 p.m. and the waitress took great care. Fireplace just for us and delicious food. Smoked salmon and fresh salmon at the top.

The food was good enough, I didn't stay there, I'm not even sure I'm posting about the same place because I didn't realize it had rooms to rent , plenty of seating in it, the chowder was a 7 out of 10 I don't know why people try to add their own twist to a chowder the original will never be beaten in my books, staff are friendly, it was very quiet while we were there, so only 2 people one, worth a visit if in the area,

Service and food were good, But ....... Coffee was instant ! No wholemeal bread available for toasties ! No crisps to garnish .... the customer was told if he wanted to go & buy crisps in the shop opposite he could eat them with his toastie ! These are small details But in a tourist area I feel they are important !

We climbed up Diamond Hill on a rainy day with the whole family. We were so hungry afterwards and stopped at the Clover Fox for some food. THe waitress was the loveliest person, she was so nice to our youngest boy (5). Food is great, burgers are huge and the place is very warm and cozy.

04/11/2024: A lovely pub that does very good food. Mussels and scampi particularly nice, while my husband also enjoyed the wings and the fish and chips. Staff very helpful. A great shout after a big walk
01/11/2024: Very busy but the food was excellent. 2 of us shared 3 starters, chowder, mussels and calamari. Calamari portion could have been a little bigger, but all 3 starters tasted great. Nice atmosphere in the pub and for a weekday, it was busy. Pub is in a lovely location in the heart ♥ of connemara with loads of wonderful places nearby to visit eg kylemore Abbey, Cleggan Harbour, omey Island, inagh valley and clifden 14kms away. Also diamond Hill a d connemara national park.

10/08/2024: Particularly beautiful, stylish castle hotel. The park is magnificent, right on the doorstep the landlord has created a partially wild paradise - a magical world. The rooms are spacious and stylishly furnished, cleanliness is a given. The breakfast and dinner were excellent. Gladly again and again
