Absolutely fantastic meal. Four of us went for dinner and every dish was delicious. Great service and a cosy atmosphere with sea views. Will definitely be back.
On a windy Sunday afternoon in January we went in search of lunch and were delighted to find this fab family run bar with amazing views in Magheroarty. 5 of us had a fab Sunday Lunch. Delicious roast beef, roast lamb, a fab Buttermilk Chicken burger and 2 coconut chickpea curries. Shared a couple of desserts and a cafetiere of fresh coffee. Fab folks. Will definitely return.
Although quiet today, this suited us fine. Definately amongst the best seafood I've had, the Scallops were large, fresh and incredibly flavoursome, the added flavour of the black Pudding shavings were so well matched to the Scallops and Bacon 11/10 for that alone. The Prawn Linguine was beautifully cooked and laden with prawns and an added gentle Chilli buzz. Perfect! Only complaint. We had no room for Dessert! Will definately come again and bring a larger appetite.
My partner Mairead and I dine at Colls regularly and it's fair to say we love the place. The food is always delicious, the service is friendly and first class and the atmosphere is relaxed. Excellent value for money. Last night I had three courses, Mairead two, and I can honestly say that each element of each course was perfect as was the combinations put together. Starter: Scallops and black pudding. Mains: Turkey and ham trad Christmas Dinner and Mairead had the Sea Bass. Deserts: Vegan chocolate tart and cinnamon apple crumble. Turkey and ham trad Christmas Dinner in no way describes the Colls rendition of this standard Christmas fare. It was exquisite. Edward Muldowney's wife is the magician in the kitchen, whilst Edward conducts everything front of house, ably assisted by Geraldine and the rest of the staff. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Try it out. Yum.

We love Colls at Magheroarty. The bar restaurant has amazing views over the Atlantic and the food, service and atmosphere match the setting. Hard to recommend a particular dish as they are all so good. We usually choose fish dishes and last time we had prawns and sea trout which were both absolutely delicious. The Guinness is fantastic and the bar has a great wine list too. But the value!! We each had a three course and between us two Guinness and a large wine for c€70. Absolutely fantastic all round. Thanks Edward and team.
Wonderful homely restaurant and bar with 10/10 food. Visited at the weekend with a large group of family - service was superb. Each meal was prepared and served with care. Firm favourites among the group included scallops, fish tacos and seabass - a haven for seafood lovers. Staff were fantastic and added to our great evening. Without a doubt the best scallops I have ever tasted. I have yet to have a meal that is anything other than absolutely delicious in Colls. Best restaurant in Donegal! Can’t wait to return! Go raibh maith agaibh!
