Place is very clean, the furniture needs modernisation. The staff were friendly and efficient, and service was very quick. Customer toilets need to be readily available, currently locked and customer has to request usage.

I use this cafe a lot as it’s my grandson’s favourite in Portlaoise. But I have to ask, why can’t the toilets be kept clean? They are always in a really bad state, toilet paper all over the floor and puddles, of hopefully is tap water. It’s a shame as otherwise it’s a nice place.

5 euros + for a cup of ice with flavour.... 3 sips and its gone. I know its supposed to be a cold drink but that doesnt justify the aprox 30-40 mls of actual drink ( and its a large drink too ).

Very fast paced here, staff do get very busy yet they still smile and the service is always very good, coffee is nice and good range of buns and sambos, comfy seating and outside option aswell, hit it up and give it a try 😀

I love coming to this Costa and it's probably the best coffee shop in Portlaoise. Perfect place to sit down relax and enjoy good coffee. It's almost always full of people so im not the only one who realised that. The girls are true professionals, always cheerful and attentive,and they remember your order if you are a regular, which adds such a personal touch to this place.

19/11/2025: Back again!! I was here ages ago and thought it was great and couldn't get much better, but I was wrong. Loads more upgrades, new little cafe area for a cuppa and cake while you watch the kids in the soft play and take a min to yourself. We had a great time again, my 84 yr old father came for the drive with us and he sat watching us on the TV when we played the lazer tag he was amazed!! We were so well looked after love roller skating with the kids its so much fun, kids also played indoor soccer to end off a very busy day, we were there for hours. Also for anyone that thinks them arcade games never pay out ... well my 8 year old is living proof, he hit the €150 prize, the manager/owner came out personally to hand over the cash. He was a great sport and so good with my son. Keep up the good work all the staff are a credit to the place. See you all again soon.
