We went to Howth, and after a long walk, we came in here. My son wanted fish and chips, but he has allergies to dry fried foods and mustard, and that dish contained mustard. But a helpful employee suggested grilling the fish and making it gluten-free. So my son was able to enjoy it. The rest of the food was delicious. The quality-price ratio was good for the location. The staff were friendly, and the wait was relatively short (considering the restaurant was packed).

I was there just before noon. It was very busy on a Saturday. The staff were still friendly, even if a bit stressed, and the food was good. It got quite noisy after a while because of the large number of people. Otherwise, I'd gladly go again.

Amazing place. I always stop by to get the chowder or fish n chips. Today brought my family and besides the big queue we got a table fast and the fisherman pie was brilliant. Highly recommend

5 stars. Great food.. service was spotty but super busy. We sat outside which was amazing but the birds... so annoying. Stop letting customers feed the birds. Put up a sign! Do not feed the birds!

We went to the counter for fish and chips. Almost 18 euros per portion. There was a huge rush at the counter and orders were standing. The waitress said that the next orders would be in 5-10 minutes. After waiting for those 10 minutes, not a single customer received their order. We waited 55 minutes at ours, a family with children came just for ice cream and after 20 minutes they asked for their money back and left. In the end, average fish and chips for the money. I think you can find better ones in the area.

We went the day before St. Patrick's Day, and it was packed, but the organization was quick and efficient. The food was delicious. A platter of assorted fish (enough for two people), Coca-Cola, white wine, one dessert, and tip came to €100. The staff who served us were very friendly and efficient.

lovely food and great selection of dishes. we dined on Saturday afternoon and place wasn't extremely busy. junior staff was incredibly slow and unatentive. we had to ask for the remaining dishes and basic things like first water or drinks order for ages. everything was sorted by senior staff after third attempt so we could finally enjoy the dinner.

The Vue Restaurant

06/06/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ We recently visited The Vue Restaurant for our golf presentation evening. The venue is absolutely stunning, with fantastic panoramic views across Dublin that create a memorable setting for any event. The restaurant itself is beautifully presented, modern, and has a great atmosphere. The staff were excellent throughout the evening—friendly, professional, and very helpful. They worked hard to look after our group and ensure the presentation went smoothly, which was greatly appreciated. The food we received was good quality and well presented. However, as we were part of a larger party, there seemed to be some challenges with the service flow. At times there appeared to be a disconnect between orders being taken and food being delivered, which resulted in longer waiting times than expected. Unfortunately, because of these delays, our group only received the starters rather than experiencing the full meal. Despite this, the staff remained courteous and accommodating throughout, and it was clear they were doing their best under the circumstances. The combination of the spectacular views, stylish surroundings, and attentive team meant we still had an enjoyable evening. Overall, The Vue is a wonderful venue with huge potential and an amazing location. I would happily visit again, particularly with a smaller group, and would recommend it to anyone looking for great views and a unique dining experience in Dublin. 🌆🍽️🏆
