I've been to all the Chinese takeaways in Carlow and The Tiger is number one. New owner, better flavors. I recommend it.

Teddys

27/03/2026: It was nice to see this restaurant reopened and the food did not disappoint. There was a good choice of main meals and what I really liked was that my fish was cooked fresh. The service was very prompt and the staff were all lovely. Even a veg bowl for our baby wasn't a problem. The meals were lovely and the kids meals were good value as well.

Corcoran's Bar

01/07/2026: Old world bar full of character. Very genuine and friendly owner. Excellent pint of stout. Highly recommend this bar. Pool tables at the rear of pub if you fancy a game. Customers are very friendly as well. A genuine Cead Mille Failte.
14/05/2026: Carlow's best kept secret. Great service and good beers on tap that you can't get in vast majority of places. Highly recommend!
