Daata in Bray

Gorgeous restaurant with warm cosy welcoming decor and atmosphere. We went in for lunch and I could have easily sat there all night. Food is delicious, fresh and flavoursome. Servers are very polite and friendly. No starters, 4 mains, one NA drink each and two desserts; €40 a head. Pricey, yes but isn't everything these days. I will happily go back and give them my money again.

Overall, the experience was good – not outstanding, but not poor either. The service was friendly and the ambiance pleasant, which kept the visit enjoyable. However, I found the naan bread to be disappointing. All of the naan I received were badly burnt like black coal on the bottom, giving them a bitter taste. When I pointed this out, the staff quickly acknowledged the issue and replaced the naan, which was appreciated. To enhance the value for money and overall dining experience, I suggest reviewing the naan‑making process – whether it’s the equipment, the cooking temperature, or the staff training – to ensure consistent quality.

The place, the staff, the food, everything was great. Only the portions were a little small.

I don’t normally go for Indian cuisine, but the Afghani Chicken here is a game-changer. Absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. My only critique is that I wish the portions were slightly larger for the price. Still highly recommend for the taste alone!
