DARUMA in Dublin

Been here a few times now and it's always excellent. Food is delicious, amazing cocktails and lovely service

The scallop was too salty and in general seems a bit pricey for the portions and food you get. That said, it is a relatively more authentic Japanese restaurant than other places I’ve been in Dublin. Cost effectiveness: 3 / 5 Hoping to return: 3 / 5

The sushi is top-quality, but the menu also features many other traditional Japanese dishes and a vast selection of sake. I enjoyed the evening dining at the counter and chatting with the bartender... He was very friendly! The prices are perhaps a little high, but it's definitely worth it

A lovingly and stylishly decorated Japanese restaurant with exquisite dishes. Classic sushi and Japanese tapas, perfect for sharing, as is customary here. We also tried their signature cocktails – for example, a drink with matcha foam 🍵 – and were delighted. A bit pricey, but also very high quality.

The food is very good and the wait is not too long. I do regret that portions are often very small especially for the price. Their non alcoholic cocktails are delicious and among the best I've ever tried in Dublin. But then again the serving size is unjustifiably small for the price. Cups are half way empty and full of ice cubes. You don't even get a full sip out of it. Really frustrating. I also wish the staff would do a better job at presenting the dishes so that we know what to expect since most dishes names are un japanese and no pictures or explicit descriptions are available. I frequently go there so really hoping for some improvement !

The place is very nice with a beautifull wooden interior, the service was perfect and the food was amazing ( I particularly recommand the Creme brûlée).

We were in Dublin on vacation and came back here four times because everything was so good, from the sushi to the hot dishes to the drinks. It’s worth more than 5 stars. Will there be a branch in Rome?

The service was absolutely exceptional - all members of staff were warm and incredibly attentive! Food was beautiful and they had good awareness of gluten free diet!

This restaurant was on my "I want to try"list for a very long time and finally yesterday night I had the pleasure to have dinner here. My boyfriend and I shared the Wagyu hot-pot and we were both amazed of how good it was; the broth was absolutely rich and very balanced in flavours and the Wagyu beef so soft that would melt in our mouth. What also made our experience in the restaurant this good was the excellent service we received from the staff,especially Hotaru, wich was the girl that served us; She is not only very nice and friendly but also professional and I really loved that she took time to exchange a small chat about her country of origin,Japan,and give us good recommendations on when to visit. Thankyou to all the Daruma team,floor and kitchen staff.

The best Izakaya in Dublin, cozy feeling friendly engaging staff and the best sashimi platter in Dublin, you can feel and taste the expertise and love that go into the food. Ill be back as I wanted to order everything on the menu.
