Perfect pub, brilliant Guinness Wonderfully friendly service

Nice ambience for a quick Guinness!

J O'Connells is a fantastic pub with some of the most consistently good pints in Dublin. It's rarely overcrowded, so you don't feel squished in like sardines. The staff are friendly and efficient, and honestly, I can't fault this place at all. It's definitely one of my top choices for a pint in the city.

Great pub service excellent toilets spotless

Sehr schön eingerichteter Pub mit netten Personal. Für den fünften Stern hätte es Live-Musik und/oder etwas zu Essen geben müssen. Wer aber satt ist und sich unterhalten möchte, ist hier perfekt aufgehoben.

Great pub and a great pint, if you're around Portobello pop in

I’ve read the reviews and decided to come and visit myself. Honestly the Guinness is just average, maybe other reviews were tourists and don’t know a good pint from bad pint. Older Barman doesn’t believe in pride and presentation. Handed me a pint with the Guinness dripping all down the side of the glass. Would it be too difficult to just clean the glass before handing it to the customer? Bar is clean and not very busy (Wed night) Not a bad place to come for a quiet pint. No food options apart from snacks. King Crisp!
