Having been fishing down in Kerry the night before we stopped here whilst on our way to Co.Clare, friendly staff, and the place looked busy enough for a Sunday too.
I had the baked salmon with lemon sauce, my friend had the turkey and ham, the salmon was nice and not overcooked, the creamy lemon sauce could have possibly had a bit more lemon added, friend said that one little edge of the turkey was a bit dry but the rest was perfect. Both came with mash potatoes and a side of cabbage and carrot and possibly turnip mash(I didn’t have any of that)
I’m not sure how the coffee was made, but that is one area there could be an improvement. I know as soon as I asked for an americano and she replied “2 coffees” not to get my hopes up too high about that. But everything else was fine.
We sat outside where it was nice and cool, indoors seemed quite warm to me when in there, which would have made eating a little uncomfortable for me, but that’s possible just me I guess.
We had a lovely lunch on a glorious sunny day. The waitress was charming and helpful. We had thr roast lamb which came with plenty fresh vegetables and mashed potato. I had the lasagna which was delicious with a side salad and chips included. The lasagna contained mushrooms and plenty of meat!!
A lovely setting for a delightful lunch at a very reasonable price.
