Score and reviews

Located on Harcourt Street in the heart of Dublin city, so it’s super central and easy to reach. • Great value drink offers compared to many city-centre venues. For example, some sources report beer for as little as €2 on certain nights. • The venue is large, with a beer garden/outdoor area in addition to indoor club spaces. That gives it flexibility – you can sit out or party in. • Weekly themed nights and events (Brazilian parties, Latin music, etc.) which add to the energy. ⸻ 👎 Things to be cautious about • The crowd tends to skew younger, especially for the late-night clubbing side. If you prefer a more relaxed or older crowd, this might feel a bit intense. • There are repeated complaints about the door policy and security behaviour: “Probably the worst bouncers I’ve seen in my life … they refused him for no reason.” “Been there done that, not going back again.” Also: “Denied entry … a clear pattern of racial discrimination.” • While drink deals are strong, the volume of music and the late-night environment means it may not be ideal for a quiet or casual evening. One visitor said: “It’s grand if you like cheap drinks and loud music.” • Some reports of issues with the cloakroom/coat checks and busy or chaotic nights. ⸻ ✅ My overall verdict If you’re looking for a fun, budget-friendly party spot in central Dublin with strong drink deals and a lively atmosphere, Dicey’s Garden hits the mark. It really comes alive in a “young, high-energy” mode, especially after dark with DJs and a large crowd. However, if your ideal night is quieter, more relaxed, or with attentive service and less hustle, then you might prefer looking elsewhere. Also, if you’re visiting with a mixed group (older friends, someone who wants a calmer vibe) it might be worth going early (when it’s less packed) or choosing a different venue for part of the night.

If you are a student and you are able to go with friends this place is pretty perfect. I like the different areas with different music genres. Sometimes a pint is only 2€.

The Eddison

14/09/2025: The Eddison Restaurant was the perfect way to start each morning during our stay at the Dylan Hotel. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding—warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome, and their thoughtful care added a personal touch to every breakfast. The food? Absolutely delicious. Each morning brought a beautifully prepared spread that was both satisfying and refined. Fresh croissants (the chocolate ones were a favorite), vibrant fruits, and rich, aromatic coffee set the tone for the day ahead. The ambiance was bright and relaxed, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort. Whether you're a guest at the Dylan or simply seeking a top-notch breakfast in Dublin, The Eddison delivers a memorable experience with style and heart.
