I could now describe how good the food and the pairing wines were. But many people have already described that here before me. So I'll try a different image: it was our first evening in Dublin and we talked about this evening at every subsequent dinner in Dublin. And in a good way. The evening was definitely a highlight of our holiday. The restaurant is on the ‘reasons for another Dublin holiday’ list. We were seated at the Chef's Table and were lucky enough to be served each course with a short introduction from the chefs. We were also able to watch the hustle and bustle in the kitchen. It was very impressive to see how well-rehearsed the team is in such a small space. And any problems that arose were solved without any shouting, you could only tell by the serious whispering. Without wishing to diminish the other courses, two courses have remained very clearly in my memory. One is the foie gras. I am generally a huge fan of foie gras. I almost always order it when it's on the menu. But it's not always good. The one served here immediately made it into my top 2. The other is a variation slightly flavoured with coffee and chocolate. To be able to decide which one is the best, I would have to taste them side by side. However, there are a few hundred kilometres between the restaruants. But the mere fact that I'm thinking about knocking my long-term favourite off the throne is a statement. The second course is the pretzel. And I have to say right away that I may be German, but I'm not Bavarian. So the pretzel itself is not a staple food for me. Nevertheless, pretzels and pretzel pastries are also ubiquitous in the Ruhr region. The Seeded Pretzel was not only delicious, but exactly as it should be: crispy on the outside but nice and soft on the inside. The Obatzda served with it was not a ‘must be served with something’ side dish but was perfectly balanced with the smoked cheese and enhanced the pretzel even more. But I've probably already written far too much, so I'll stop here. Long story short: definitely visit!

I was pleased with my lunch, seated in one of ten “Chef's table” seats, surrounding the six chefs’ main prep area. Another eight tables are also available. The high ceiling space itself is simply decorated and does not distract from the food. Most of each plate présentation was performed by one of the chefs, with the servers assisting the sommelier and the bussers. But they were helpful, and quick. I did enjoy the Signature Dish, Foie Gras Custard, pine chutney and English Muffin. The local crab salad and bisque was also excellent, but the plate seemed to highlight the side of prawn crackers, not the crab. I'll have to return. 2025 04 18. M1. 237.

The food was very well thought out and execution is on point. Courses flow smoothly in flavour wise. We had a great 3 hours tasting all 13 courses. The pairing of the wine goes so well too. The staffs explained each dishes to bring out the flavours more. The staffs were really good in catching all the details. I was talking how I usually don’t eat lamb because of gaminess but in one of the kebab like appetizer, I could only taste the juiciness of the lamb but not smell the gaminess, the staff immediately informed me that main course is lamb and they can ask what they can do to the kitchen if I want. I felt bad as the meal has already started and it’s also just a preference instead of restriction. However, the kitchen delivered. They swapped the lamb with Ricotta tempura Dumplings. My husband and I will go back in late summer or autumn again to try new courses.

Oh wow was too blissed out to post right after the meal but don’t miss out on this place. Price is amazingly reasonable for what you get. The monkfish? Insane. Loved the local produce and meats.

We have been looking forward to this night out for months and have been saving up our money for it. The food was amazing! Especially the foie gras with pineapple was the best I ever had. We did feel like we were a little too late for a wednesday evening (7PM) and would recommend to come earlier if you don’t want to be rushed. We were out of the restaurant within 2 hours and felt a bit in a hurry because the food and drinks came very quick after eachother. In any restaurant that doesn’t have a michelin star (or the same pricetag) this would have been fine, but in this kind of restaurants I really see it as a full night out and we did not feel seen. (I had to chug my wine a few times because the new wine and courses already arrived).

I was gifted a voucher for this restaurant for my birthday recently. I booked early dinner with two of my friends on a Friday evening a couple of weeks ago. I do have to say we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We loved the intense flavours of each course. We drank a delicious champagne with our meal. Service was friendly and informative. The atmosphere is relaxed and there was plenty of space around each table. I would highly recommend a visit.
