This review should actually be 4.5 / 5 really. Overall we thought the food was incredible and well worth it. However, our only slight complaint was the desserts, whereas a couple of them were lovely, we both agreed that a few others were overly sweet to the point that even though they were small one of them actually almost made me feel a bit sick due to the sweetness of it. But this is only a slight negative to an otherwise brilliant evening. Great staff, lovely restaurant, great wine. Would still go back for sure.

Phenomenal experience. The food was incredible, as was the service. Definitely recommend the non-alcoholic drink pairings for fun too. The vegetarian tasting menu was excellent.

Everything was perfect: food, presentation, spacious room, friendly service, amazing juice cocktail pairing. Also fully accessible. I would come again! One of the best days in my life

Dolier Street is an absolute treat. We sat at the chef’s counter – the best spot to watch the action and soak up the buzz – and loved every minute. The atmosphere is welcoming without a hint of stuffiness. The food is top-notch: fresh, seasonal, and full of flavour, but served in a way that’s relaxed and unfussy. The chefs clearly love what they do, and it shows in every plate. Warm service, great atmosphere, and cooking that’s both exciting and comforting – we’ll be back in a heartbeat.

Exceptional tasting menu; horrific mocktail pairing. This place deserves 5 stars but the fact that this €50+ sugar ridden drink medley got the nod of an approval as a compliment to the meal is lost on me.

Went here last week for a special occasion and we were completely blown away. D'Olier St rips up the script when it comes to Michelin star food and makes its own one. Totally chilled, non-stuffy, really friendly and relaxed atmosphere is waiting for you. The staff could not have been nicer. I'd been onto the website a few days in advance and was impressed that almost all staff members are mentioned on there and there's a real feeling that there's an exceptionally positive team vibe going on. Each course was served by the chef who created it and honestly it was impossible to pick a favourite dish of the 13. The menu changes regularly with seasonal produce too which is impressive as there's so much work gone into perfecting each dish. We were sat at the chefs table and got an insight into how organised and efficient a professional kitchen is- and experience we'd never had before. From start to finish the meal was excellent and every member of staff we encountered had a positive impact on our dining experience. I literally cannot wait to return. Fabulous.

5 stars all around. Outstanding food, perfect wine pairing. Engaging, knowledgeable and well drilled staff. Best restaurant in Dublin? A second star perhaps?

Open kitchen. Good service. Music is quiet if you prefer more upbeat. Conversations can be a little audible with table next to you at chefs counter of private conversations are needed request a table. Food is fantastic. Eaten at 20 one stars and it’s up there with the better end. Great flavour pairings. Very strong few dishes. Favorite foie gras dish I’ve had. Intensity came more at the beginning of the 13 courses which perhaps made delicate mains harder to taste. Perhaps the Palette cleanser would have worked better before the mains. Texturally very interesting. Food is more on the delicate but complex side. One or two moments of intensity more wouldn’t go a miss but some very strong and original food. Been in Dublin two months and best restaurant I’ve eaten at yet. Wines are good and paired well but only had two glasses as went for the non alcoholic pairing. Non alcoholic pairing best I’ve had and I’ve eaten at a few top 50 and 2 stars. Service smart and clean. Chefs serve you at the chefs table. Comfortable seating. Will return and recommended. Meal starts 20:15 and lasted 2.5 hours which I’m happy with. I like long evenings in good company and very good hands. Reservation made on the day on a Thursday but restaurant was full when arrived.

Casper & Giumbini's

11/09/2025: Excellent menu with decent options for vegan vegetarian and healthy eating. Lovely staff, great service. Well situated near Dun Laoghaire pier, but close to shopping on the main street. Pleasant decor, choice of high stools or table seating when booking.
30/08/2025: Six of us for dinner, everything was fantastic. We had scallops and fillet steaks everything was delicious. Only critique/suggestion would be to add a 10oz fillet steak option as the 8oz is a little on the small side
