D'Olier Street Restaurant in Dublin

My nephew and I had the pleasure of dining here during our trip to Ireland. The chef's tasting menu was top notch. After our experience, I would definitely never miss a chance to eat the monk fish, which is among the best bites I've ever tasted. Honestly, if you are not going out of your way to eat here, you are really missing a world-class opportunity. We have had the luxury of experiencing a number of Michelin-starred plates, but these really made an impression.

Was lucky enough to be brought here for my birthday a few weeks ago. It was an absolutely stand out meal - the best meal we've had in Dublin in years (and maybe even ever?). Each course was so perfectly constructed - the flavours, the textures, the presentation. Normally with these tasting menus there are a couple of dishes that are just OK - this was not the case with this one! They had a new monkish dish on the menu that night which was a total showstopper. I also love that some dishes were more European / French and others were clearly Asian/ Thai, so lovely to have the variety and not be too heavy. We did the chef's table and made a last minute decision to do the wine pairing which was a total highlight (as well as generous). Service was excellent & very friendly. Don't miss it!

Every dish that was served was a work of art, and I enjoyed it visually as well. I had informed them in advance that I don't like lamb or duck, so they were able to change the main course for me. It ended up being a quiche instead of meat. The taste was delicious, and some dishes had a unique flavor due to the use of herbs. I was surprised to see that they used a Japanese takoyaki maker for one of the dishes. I was torn between a table seat and a counter seat, but I'm glad I chose the counter. It was fun to watch them cook right in front of me.

An excellent restaurant with an open kitchen and breakfast bar. The welcome is very friendly and the atmosphere pleasantly relaxed. There is only one omnivorous menu, but a vegetarian option is readily available upon request. Wine pairings are available, as is a non-alcoholic alternative. All thirteen courses of the menu were superb in terms of taste, beautifully presented, and of high quality. Fantastic! The accompanying wines harmonized perfectly with the dishes. The service was incredibly friendly, always attentive, and professional.

We had a truly wonderful evening at D'Olier Street Restaurant. From the moment you step inside, you can tell that they place great emphasis on quality, a stylish atmosphere, and excellent service. The restaurant offers fine dining with meticulous attention to detail. Every dish was beautifully presented, perfectly balanced in flavor, and prepared with high-quality, fresh ingredients. The service was attentive, friendly, and yet pleasantly unobtrusive. At no point did we feel rushed – exactly what you imagine a relaxed evening in a good restaurant to be. If you appreciate fine dining and want to treat yourself to something special, this is the place for you. We felt completely at ease and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We highly recommend it and will gladly return on our next visit. 🍷✨
