Doolally in Dublin

The food was delicious, but the staff was short-staffed and very busy. The hand soap in the restroom smelled amazing.

I dined here last night ( Tuesday ) with my partner, he had been there before but this was my first time eating there. The decor is lovely really modern and funky, the toilets were spotless and modern which makes a change as alot of places the toilets are of a low standard. Service was excellent a lovely welcome when we arrived, the restaurant was warm and the atmosphere was good as it was busy and everyone was relaxing enjoying a meal out midweek. The menu was varied but not alot of chicken dishes on it, there was lots of fish and lamb dishes and veggie options. My starters were lovely great portion size, the sides of naan bread and dips were gorgeous too, a big portion of poppodoms on arrival which we loved. My mains chicken korma was okay not a whole lot of flavour but it did have lots of meat in it which I appreciated, I normally for a chicken Bhuna or Jalfrezi but they only had them in fish or lamb versions. Overall we had a lovely experience and would return.

It was a really good experience. The starters were amazing. Quality stuff. But the mains were average. They had kingfisher beer which is good. The ambience was one the best I have experienced in an Indian restaurant.

On a cold November evening in Dublin I had the good fortune to visit here with a friend. We had no reservation but were seated with a problem. We shared the starter platter for two, each dish was divine, the different sauces and spices just complemented each other. For a main we shared a lamb dish, two sides and some rice Everything cooked to perfection, hot food served in hot plates. The service was exceptional, a Friday night that was getting busier every minute, yet the waiters had time to explain the dishes and make recommendations about the sides I do highly recommend and look forward to my next visit when in Dublin again

Been to Doolally multiple times. Their dishes are rich on flavor, colorful and always feel fresh. Absolutely a go to go for anyone fond of Indian cosine, a great place if you never had Indian cosine.

Had office group dinner, service was very good by excellent friendly staff in a very busy restaurant. Indian food is reasonable taste-wise. Gajar halwa was a unique prep. Very good vibes. Parking is challenging and paid only regardless of day or time.

We’ve been here a few times now and like the layout of the restaurant - it is large, inviting and non trend. The food is usually good also and certainly better than the unnecessarily hyped up Pickle Restaurant. Service can be hit and miss depending on how busy it is and one one occasion we were left waiting for an hour after our main course, however the other three times we were there - all ran smoothly. Defo recommend it.
