Doolally in Dublin

Loved the dinner menu. Really nice cocktails too

I went to Doolally last, 3 years ago and at that time the experience was amazing. We came back yesterday and we were disappointed. The atmosphere and the service were good as usual and there is nothing to fault The sharing platter we ordered has few bites, so tiny and they were okay, but we wouldn't order it again. We took two chicken mains, one bhindi and one lamb dish. The bhuna ghost was delicious. The korma was okay, but on the sweeter side. The murgh tikka masala and the bhindi though were very dry and strong on the masala. The bhindi was still raw and crunchy. The garlic naan, was delicious and it really saved the meal. But for 40€ each we would have expected more.

The Mahani menu is such good value and really large portions. Beautiful restaurant, amazing food and good service.

I visited here recently and it was such a lovely experience. I was blown away by the interior decor, followed by an amazing cocktail(Orchard Flame) while we waited on our food. Starters were full of flavour, we had the calamari and the prawns. But the star of the show was the lamb shank rogan josh, with pilau rice and bone marrow naan. Another highlight was the chocolate temptation cake, super rich and the perfect way to finish off a meal. Would highly recommend and I will be back!

Really enjoyed our experience here! The staff couldn’t do enough for you and then food & cocktails were amazing ! We will defiantly be back. The ambience of the restaurant is stunning, it’s big and spacious but cosy at the same time. It was nearly full early on a Thursday evening.

It’s a very good experience having food in Hyderabadi kitchen I had Mysore bonda, noodles and sev puri it was exactly homely vibe.

It’s good for a mixed bunch of folks from different ethnicities. It’s not exactly proper desi food. The service was a bit slow but still very very courteous.

The food is excellent. And let’s face it that’s the primary reason we like to go out to dinner. The service, especially the maître d’, was horrible. We had made a reservation for 615p via OpenTable and needed to push it back a few hours. When I moved it, OpenTable said I needed to call the restaurant (it was earlier the same day). A woman named Lilly picked up and it took me a few back and forth to realize that Lilly was AI. She took my info and said your reservation is now for 730p. When we showed up, the extremely rude maître d’ made it clear he didn’t believe me - but worse, he wouldn’t look at me and only spoke to my husband. It was not a good way to start dinner. The waiter was pleasant and okay. 4 stars. Get a new phone service and a less misogynistic door- greeter.
