Driftwood Surf Cafe in

We recently visited this restaurant after looking forward to it for quite some time, so it was disappointing to leave feeling underwhelmed. The biggest issue was the service. We felt forgotten about for much of the evening, waiting almost half an hour before anyone took our food and drink order. Once our order was taken, the staff we dealt with were friendly and the service itself was good, but the long waits really impacted our experience. At the end of the meal, we also waited so long to pay that we eventually had to leave the money for our bill on the table as no one came to collect it. The food was a mix of highs and lows. Some dishes were excellent and clearly well prepared, but other parts of the meal didn't meet our expectations. The mashed potato was quite bland, and some of the food was served only lukewarm rather than hot. I'm not usually one to leave negative reviews, but we had been really excited to visit and spent a significant amount of money on the meal. For the price, we expected a more attentive level of service and greater consistency with the food. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as the restaurant clearly has potential, but our experience unfortunately didn't live up to the expectations.

Great location but thats it ,the seafood chowder is 12 euro and honeztly it was a discrace for the price 4 spoonfulls and it was gone very little fish .we wont come back .

Update 2026 Still a great location, lovely window seat, excellent soup, and a superb platter for two. Highly recommended, and reservations are best! Great new building, blends in beautifully with the landscape. Very nice interior and super friendly service. The food was great except for the fish gratin; the sauce was overpowering, and you couldn't taste the fish or scampi at all.

It's really hard to beat the experience at Driftwood.
