Duck in Dublin

Please reopen the place, missed the food there.

Update Jan 2024: The place is now closed due to Food Safety Authority closure order. No date is given when it can be back. I hope they can fix all the food safety issues and come back soon. A real Hong Kong-style duck. Impressed. The place is tiny and quite packed. One long shared table and the rest are high chairs. Prices in the range under EUR 10, going up a bit since 2020, but still a very reasonable for the portion. Sprinkles of chili oil or sweet chili sauce will magically upgrade your rice box. Recommended.

Best bang for your buck, they cut the meat off the bone there and then and it is exceptional. Crispy duck is some of the best for the meat. Love going here for a Friday takeaway.

Lovely tasty food every time. I will say, though it was better 4 years ago when I was last there..

Wanted fried beef noodles but the chef was out for a break. Took the roast duck with fried rice and vege instead. First few bites and it brings back memories of my country (not China ok). Dish has the smell and taste of a high end Cantonese restaurant back home. Duck was meaty and does not taste gamey. The plum sauce gives it an extra depth of flavour. On my way back from dinner that day, I bumped into the Dublin riots. If this has been my last meal, I would be satisfied.

Love this place - absolutely recommend the traditional Hong Kong duck (bone in), with rice and Asian veg. Super tasty.

I will keep going back for more. Quality is always very very high level. Staff are welcoming and work well together which means you are never waiting long for that top quality Chinese bbq and the flavours... Ugh... Just so so good. Veg is always perfectly cooked and their selection is superb. Not a large menu to overwhelm you but perfectly curated to tickle the taste buds. Atmosphere is simple and effectively charming. Everyone needs to try this place. I just wish they opened Mondays too 😂

I ordered roast duck. Overall taste good but was quite too salty to me.
