East Room at Plassey House in Limerick

Definitely go for evening meal - it’s all worth the additional price! I don’t get the bad reviews. The experience was outstanding! 👏 Everything starts as soon as you come in. Had champagne while at the waiting room. Nonetheless, here’s what I had: Lobster and crab lasagna for starter - a bit salty to my taste but all the flavors I expect were there. Venison for main - well executed with the blend of parsnip and blackberry sauce Salted caramel tart for dessert - it’s good, flavors weren’t that overwhelming so you can taste all the components to it.

Really exceeded my expectations. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous, really different, it feels like you are eating in someone’s house vs in a restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were great and honestly the food was Michelin star standard in my opinion. Loved it, would highly recommend and would definitely go back!

It was good. Nice starter, bread, cocktails and desert. The beef wasn't for me , I didn't think it was a great cut, but could be just me. A solid 4 not really a five star experience

Food was kinda random and interesting but the atmosphere was super good and so was the service. They allowed us to walk around and there were some pretty cool pairing upstairs. Definitely go here if given the chance!

My fiance, her family and I visited the East Room at Plassey House for her graduation yesterday. The food the service and the ambiance were all first class. Goran and the rest of the front of house staff took care of us from the second we arrived and made our evening special. Would definitely recommend.

The dining room felt rundown, decor was tired, the table linen was frayed and looked well used and plastic flowers on the table. The breads were so burnt the crusts were inedible. The crab starter tasted nice but it contained less than half a teaspoon of crabmeat. The Halibut main course was supposed to include mussels, but didn't. The featherblade steak, was cooked well but the accompanying skin that should have been crispy was undercooked. The skin-on fries arrived in an unclean, greasy wooden bowl which was very off-putting. Dessert was described as a warm cherry cake, wasn't warm and was so small it was difficult to find. Overall, very disappointing.
