Love this spot as it’s quaint and not busy when I usually visit. I’ve only had the coffee but it’s superb and really enjoy the atmosphere of the cafe. Definitely need to pop down for pastries and açai!

Have been going here for years, and at one time very regularly. The last time I went I asked for a simple Americano to go. From what I remember the price was quite high for a simple black coffee but whatever, cost of running a business etc etc. What really annoyed me though was the person at the till then spun the screen around to ask if I wanted to leave a tip when paying. I absolutely despise this tipping culture. Tipping is for when someone goes above and beyond with their service. This person wasn't even making the coffee they just took the payment and barely looked in my direction when doing so. What am I tipping for then exactly? Why is this even an option? Are the staff not being paid a fair wage and need to make it up with tips? Or is it just greed. Either way, I haven't gone back since and won't be, not that the owner will care and will probably leave a tongue in cheek comment under this. Cut out the greed, in today's economy you should be grateful we're all not eating and drinking coffee at home, but instead spending our money with your business, we're all being squeezed for every penny. We shouldn't have to feel shamed into hitting the tip button wherever we go because it certainly feels like a form of peer pressure as you will be judged when you hit no, and then question is what you ordered going to be made to the same standard because you're after annoying the staff? I'll happily remove this review and leave a better one if that tipping option is removed. But I can't imagine the owner will care enough about my review 😂. Rant over.

I had breakfast here this morning while my son played a game nearby. Wow!!! 😋😋😋I haven’t had a breakfast like it in a very long time. It was absolutely delicious. The feta cheese was so creamy and the poached eggs were perfectly cooked. Such a lovely welcoming staff and the locals were so friendly. Definitely going to come back here. Thank you 😀

Excellent food, coffee, service and atmosphere. Really love the petty bourgeois vibes they’ve created too. Staff are a sound bunch.

Mamma Mia

01/04/2025: The coffee was the best around this area and cheap, now it's more expensive and not good coffee. How
30/03/2025: If there is a better pizza in Dublin, I haven't found it. Thin crispy Italian. Really is a hidden gem.

Boland's

22/05/2025: Great pub with a very friendly atmosphere and outstanding service. Unique decor all around the bar. Our bartender, Ryan, was friendly and engaging throughout our entire visit.
27/04/2025: Freaking expensive considering proximity to a uni & possibly most customers may be students! I understand economy is hard but we want young people to spend time out more than electronic gadgets. Pubs is a good space for outdoorsy come winter but they won't have money to buy food at this rate. I mean this in the most constructive way.
