Eddie's Hot Pot in Portarlington

Nearly 10 minutes before we were even asked what drinks we wanted,let alone what our food order was,& drinks came slowly 1 at a time,& even when they finally arrived the waitress 'refused' to take our food order?? & was then taken another 10 minutes later,by a lovely gentleman,on the positive side the food was nice,especially the fish,& the menu was beyond excellent,as no matter what you may like,it's on it,so it's a 5* menu,with 1* service

Had fabulous Sunday lunch there today with wife really enjoyed everything very friendly staff food was beautiful and plentiful and good value..excellent experience will definitely recommend

I stopped here after hike around lakes nearby for a healthy dinner. Somehow, I've ended up with a homemade beef burger 😉, and it was delicious. Death by chocolate for dessert was also a good choice. The staff is super helpful and eager to go the extra mile. I'd happily come back.

This a real Gem in the heart of Portarlington. If you want great food, efficient friendly service and reasonable prices then this is your place. I will be back.

We visited recently as a family after burying a relative. The staff team was great. Having arrived early for our booking, they soon arranged things so that we were all seated quickly with minimal fuss. They could not do enough for us. The food served was freshly prepared, very tasty, and there was plenty of it. I would definitely visit again. Great location, too.

On arrival in Portarlington we found free parking and hit the Main Street in search of food …as it was in between lunch time and dinner a local recommended eddies .with two vegetarians in toe we weren’t sure if the menu would suit …we were greeted with a lovely welcome and our server was more than accommodating …I’d a steak sandwich with out the break ..the veggies had garlic mushrooms chips onion rings …club veggie sandwich and homemade soup …great portion size ..we cleaned the plates …fifty euro included tea and tip …great value too

Had an amazing dinner here. We were both vegetarian and they were so accommodating with the menu for us. Staff were so lovely ! Couldn’t recommend it more !

Bank holiday Monday and just saw it open - stopped on way home from golf and got a super feed - 2 of Ed’s Grills - great service and great value 👌

The food is top class and the service was excellent
