Elphin in Dublin

Everything was fine. Good food. Good service. Fast service.

I visited the Elphin when I was home for a vacation. I go back every year and always visit the Elphin a few times for dinner and to meet up with family and friends. The food is always excellent and hot, just the way I like it. The service is excellent and the staff are always helpful. So I'll be back again next year

Some places don’t need a Michelin star, a celebrity chef, or a cocktail menu that reads like a chemistry textbook. They just need a solid pint, honest food, and a room full of locals who have seen enough of life to know that all three are sacred. The Elphin Bar is exactly that kind of place. I wandered in expecting a quick meal and walked straight into the social headquarters of the town. Every table had a story unfolding, every laugh sounded genuine, and nobody seemed to be in a hurry to be anywhere else. That’s the sign of a proper pub. If the locals choose to spend their time there when they have every other option, you’ve found the real deal. Then came the chicken curry. This wasn’t one of those sad pub curries that arrives looking like it surrendered halfway through cooking. This was rich, deeply flavored, packed with tender chicken, and served like someone in the kitchen actually cared whether your day improved. It did. The Elphin Bar isn’t trying to impress anyone, and that’s precisely why it does. It delivers the kind of authenticity that can’t be manufactured by consultants or recreated by restaurant groups with rustic décor shipped in by the truckload. If you’re passing through, stop. Order the chicken curry. Grab a pint. Listen to the conversations floating around the room and enjoy the rare feeling that you’ve stumbled into a place that exists for its community first and everyone else second. That’s the Ireland I came looking for.

Was so lovely to be back from my favourite pub in Dublin this eve, after our departure from Dublin 3 years ago, Kiera is so kind and lovely, missed our darling Anna tonight but managed to see Debbie , the atmosphere and food were delicious as we remembered it.

I went here for lunch the food was lovely and reasonably priced. The staff were really nice and friendly and welcoming. It was really quiet busy when I went here I would recommend booking a table.

Really good. Overall enjoyable. My husband's fish wasn't drained of oil enough but that flavour and cook was great. Would recommend.

Really good food .....try the lamb shank as it's really fantastic.

Nice food, generous portions for the price. The waiters are attentive and offer refills without pushing for more.
