Ember Firehouse in Galway

Incredibly delicious food and unusually good Guinness!! I'm not usually a Guinness fan but what a caramel-like flavour and texture. All the food was amazing but the chips were OUTSTANDING - crunchy, fluffy insides, very well seasoned. The pickled reds as well, yummm. Only thing is it can be quite cold in here in the winter! The toilets only have cold water as well. But they have pads and tampons in the toilet so that's nice :) will definitely return!!

Got into town pretty late so many places in the Quay were either closed or no longer serving food. Luckily this little restaurant was still open, and the flatbread and chicken and chips were exactly what we needed late at night.

Excellent food, perfect portions, filling but not heavy. The sauces are unbelievable.

When we finally go it the food was first class and we both would recommend the food. BUT The service was terrible, 10 minutes passed before we got sight of the menus. Another 10 passed before we ordered. We ordered drinks but after 20 more minutes no sign of the drinks I had to get up and order again. When the beer arrived, it was an Asian beer, I asked the waitress if she had to go to Singapore and thanks for making the effort. I got one of those looks that, if unsheated, would cut you in two. Rather than just leave we stayed and enjoyed the food, thank you Chef . What is it with a lot of staff who I give my hard earned crust to to eat. It's simple really, smile make eye contact, treat the customer as God someone who is always right. A little induction training would be good (note for Ms, Mr Manager. For staff that understand these simple principals, are rewarded with big tips, no such staff were evident here when I was here. And before I go I hate when staff sit or stand around having a chinwag. Plenty of that at Ember Firehouse. We , after all that, left a tip. That was for the Chef!!!

Ollie and his fantastic team travelled to us and did the food for our wedding party, I would recommend Ember Firehouse to anyone looking for cracking food, the food was the talk of the party, and they're the friendliest bunch of people, Ollie was so easy to deal with the whole thing was effortless. Thanks again

So good we came twice in one day!! Chicken was super juicy, charred veg was lovely…spring salsa verde was the BEST!
