Very disappointing experience . Food was lovely but service was horrendous. Several large bookings and we were a table of two and we were basically forgotten and had to ask for everything. Some music would also be good.

Food was excellent
Service wasn’t poor, however it just felt like some of the staff were a little inexperienced. They didn't seem to understand what was on the menu themselves, a little bit more training.
We ordered beef - the menu said ‘with all the trimmings’. It came with a lovely Yorkshire pudding and a small decorated carrot, a roast potato and some kale. I personally wouldn’t call that all the trimmings.

The hostess was welcoming and very kind, but clearly overwhelmed, especially during peak hours. The entrance area felt a bit chaotic, and having separate lines or signage for reservations, walk-ins, and guests going to the bar could really help streamline the experience.
When we were seated, no one came to offer water or check in with us for quite a while. It seemed the staff was overrun, especially by large groups, and service throughout the evening reflected that. Everyone was courteous, but clearly stretched thin.
The ambiance could use some adjustment. The lighting was very bright and the music barely noticeable, which made the space feel loud and a bit tense. In most restaurants, dimming the lights and raising the music just enough creates a warmer, more relaxed atmosphere. It also helps balance the overall noise level—when the music is too low, guests tend to speak louder, which creates noise pollution. A livelier background soundtrack can actually energize the staff and reduce the stress caused by excessive chatter.
The food itself was good. Our entrée arrived quickly and was lovely. However, it took about an hour to receive our main course because two large groups had placed orders before us. For a restaurant that often accommodates groups, offering set menus could help manage timing and ease pressure on the kitchen. One note: the fries with our meal seemed a bit stale or not quite hot enough.
Overall, the restaurant has potential, and with a few adjustments to the ambiance, entrance flow, and kitchen pacing, the guest experience could be greatly improved.

Tasty roast but very small portions. Don't go if you’re hungry. Ordered the roast beef, it came with two slices of beef, one roast potato, one carrot, a leaf of cabbage and a small Yorkshire pudding. Quick service but don’t think it’s worth the money.

Food was really lovely but service not so much with the exception of the waitress who took our initial order. She seemed very passionate about the food and gave good recommendations.
They forgot about our drinks so no wine received until starters were finished and even then we had to request it . They acted like it was an inconvenience and the waitress who brought the wine seemed quite rude.
Also I had booked on Open Table weeks ago but didn’t get an email confirmation . I emailed the restaurant directly and they replied to say the booking was confirmed. When we arrived , they had no record of the booking but gave us a table after I showed them the email.

We have been eating in Fade st social for a long time.And it never fails to deliver.We did the Mother's day special.Which was 3 course meal for 45e.And Mam's eat free which considering the day that was in it.I thought was an excellent deal.The food was sublime from start to finish.But if I was to pick a course the single portion cheese plate,and the Pavlova was to die for.
When I made the reservation I explained I was only after surgery on my ankle.And on crutches so if they could give us a table in the corner.And out of the way as soon as we arrived the front of house showed us to a table.That was perfect and she had also booked us a table upstairs for after dinner drinks.I am only sorry I didn't get her name.But she is a credit to the restaurant.I can't recommend Fade st Social highly enough.

Came in for the first time for some after work drinks. Great atmosphere on the rooftop terrace. Was served by a lovely young woman called Salviya, she was very attentive and such a pleasure to speak to. Will be back for sure.

The staff were lovely but made a couple of mistakes throughout the night. Service probably needs to be better considering the prices and booking in the Woodfired part which is more high end than the downstairs . Steak was good but not nice enough for 40 euro . They forgot my beef dripping fries and gave to another table instead bringing me just normal plain fries . The waiter at the end also gave us the wrong bill for a different table and we had to ask for the right one. Other than that the staff were very friendly kind and had a laugh with us . Could be smarter and more efficient . The upstairs was also a little cold for my liking . Might have been nice to light the fires . Could probably get nicer steak for similar price elsewhere .
