Called in to Farren's on the recommendation of a local lady we met walking at Malin Head. Did not disappoint - the food was amazing (can seriously recommend the "best of both" or the seafood chowder!). A seriously good pint of Guinness was delivered in no time, and the largest coffee and hot chocolate order they'd ever had set us all on the road again. Staff were really nice, the bar was cosy and we could have sat in beside that log burner all day. A really great find and will definitely be back!
Oh my...such a wonderful place! The people were so nice and accommodating, it felt like I was at home! The food was fantastic! The best part, was having a Guinness and a clover being in the foam. Epic! We had the soup of the day, which was tomato basil. Very good! I had an open face Sammy with crab and shrimp, and holy crap, was it amazing! I don't know what they do with the bread in Ireland, but I want it all the time! I love this place, and will come back!
This place is more than a pub. It’s a destination all by itself, magically located amongst one of the most amazing places you could ever visit. The staff of the pub turn this place into a community center welcoming everyone no matter who they are or where they are from. I don’t think you could have a better Irish pub experience anywhere in Ireland. They know their Guinness, have good food from 11-4, and make one hell of an Irish Coffee. I can honestly say that it was an honor to be there and I will dream of the time I can return to the pub to hear stories over a pint. I would travel to Ireland again just to be able to refund to Farren’s!
