We held a small wedding gathering at The club Room at the end of February, and we are very grateful to Andreea for her thoughtful planning and communication. Everything went smoothly, and the restaurant even has a lovely small garden outside, perfect for photos. With the sunny weather, everything was absolutely perfect!

Large room at back - it's like being in a glasshouse, overlooking a garden. Staff were friendly, efficient and we hadwater &bread replaced with ease. We went at lunchtime so both a l carte & set menu available. My main was skate and fabulous. The dessert of Passion Fruit baked Alaska was quite disappointing - I was expecting a tall mound of meringue on an ice cream sponge base but instead the base was a bit hard - like a biscuit and the filling was a sorbet. It was very flat. Coffee good.

Comfortable restaurant with attractive ambiance including discreet lighting & low level background music; professional, friendly staff: excellent food (& cocktails); not cheap but the quality is good and worth the money. Two minor comments/quibbles: the waiter regularly filled our wine glasses as though encouraging us to drink up and buy another bottle- understandable if it’s a bottle of white wine in a chiller bucket nearby but not with a bottle of red on the table; and the sticky toffee pudding (delicious) could have done with some more sauce - perhaps a small jug of the sauce could be provided?

Update (2025): Not worth the price. Beautiful environment, lovely service, and the menu looks gorgeous - but the food itself isn’t refined enough.
The foie gras and venison were very conventional and on the small side, though cooked perfectly. The accompaniments were disappointing: nothing magical about the quince and brioche (soulless slices of cooked fruit and a dry brioche “crouton”), the crumble was missing, and the cavolo nero was overly salty. The celeriac dauphinoise was bland and, to my taste, undercooked - I didn’t eat it.
I wasn’t satiated and really wanted to like the place, so I ordered the chargrilled chicken dish. Again, perfectly cooked meat, but hardly chargrilled and rather bland. The baby parsnips were undercooked; the sausages were basic and definitely not homemade; the cabbage was forgettable; and the redcurrant jam arrived cold.
A couple of service hiccups too: the waiter didn’t know what a natural or biodynamic wine is and, after consulting the sommelier, pointed out two wines that, on closer inspection, were only organic. Finally, despite flagging a soya allergy, I was served bread containing soya. This was quickly rectified - but if they used good-quality bread, it wouldn’t have been an issue in the first place.
At 5:45pm I appreciated the quiet dinner and quick service, but if I’m paying £100 for a meal and a tea, it really should be much better than this.
Old review (2023): After wonderful starters, we were very disappointed by the mains. Both our veal and lamb were tough, not enjoyable to eat. Lovely atmosphere although quite cold in the evening, with a draft. Check out their lunch deals!
