A lovely restaurant with great food and service. Good place to meet and catch up with friends. The round table for groups allows constant flow of conversation.

Whilst on a quick visit to London/Islington I was most fortunate to have dinner here. I can quite honestly say from booking, to attending, to ordering (wonderful menu from starters to desserts) was a wonderful experience. My starter was chicken liver pate followed by goats cheese salad (leaves you begging for more (both of which have wonderful dense creamy taste)! I followed with tiramisu (light and not drowned in alcohol). Service second to none and the ambiance wonderful you can actually hear yourself speak! I hope to come back again. Thank you Frederick's for the intro!

Lovely food great atmosphere and the best service I've had in a restaurant for ages

Superior lunch of Ox cheek followed by chocolate fondant - delicious flavours. Only minor gripe was slowness of service.

Frederick’s is the perfect spot for a date night. The decor is elegant, and the vibe is warm and intimate. We had the scallops to start—beautifully cooked. The chateaubriand was my favorite, and it was very perfectly done. The sweet potato fondant as a side was a great addition. Service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

Delightful British cuisine in a classy environment.

Wonderful food as always, with attention to quality products and perfect cooking. Fish and vegetarian dishes really impressed. Service, interestingly, rather detached and impersonal and VERY noisy for a midweek evening’s dining. Two parties of six or seven people wanted us all to know they were greatly enjoying themselves. Trust they tipped well?

We headed to Frederick’s for a dinner with friends after seeing all the rave reviews, and it did not disappoint! Conveniently located near Angel station, it’s super easy to get to. Every dish we tried was delicious, but the standout for us was definitely the Welsh lamb chops—so tender and packed with flavor. The fresh and crisp vegetable salad was also a hit. The ambiance was cozy, and the service was top-notch. I can’t recommend this gem of a restaurant enough to anyone in London!

For our anniversary dinner, we went to Frederick’s near Angel on a friend’s recommendation, and it was such a great choice! The sign at the entrance said ‘family-run since 1969,’ so you know this place has some history. The vibe inside is amazing, almost like walking through an art gallery. There’s even a big garden in the back, and with the romantic lighting at night, it’s the perfect date spot. I loved the Salt & Pepper Squid starter, especially with the sweet chili sauce—it was so good! The Chargrilled Veal Rump was super tender and packed with flavor too. And the service? So attentive and thoughtful. All in all, it was the perfect dinner at Frederick’s, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
