I Not allowed to sit down without buying their greasy fry up
Only wanted 2 coffee and scones
You would swear I was insulting the front of house woman by ordering
Needless to say I promptly left this very basic cafe
Went up to Fitzpatrick's had 2 coffees only and pastry
and was treated like royalty
16/08/2024: This place is lovely, it is little gem in Longford town. Let me say the coffee is amazing and highly recommend the almond rasberry homemade bakewell. Its delicidous, id have at least 3 of them!!!

17 of us had a great meal there on Saturday night. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Service couldn't be faulted, food arrived promptly and hot which can't have been easy when they had 2 or 3 other large parties in at the same time. We ate in a private room at the front which was perfect for our family celebration. Would definitely eat there again.
13/08/2024: My son had his christening dinner here. Staff were so nice and even had a card for him everyone enjoyed the dinner. Menu was simple which worked for our family. Thank you 😊

20/08/2024: Made a special visit today to see the much loved place of my Grandad who is sadly no longer with us. Gorgeous bar, with so much character. Friendly and welcoming staff. Food was fantastic, very fresh and well prepared. Nice touch to see produce locally sourced.
Could not recommend the bar enough. I didn’t get the chance to stay in the guest house, but hope to in the future when I return to Ballymahon.

07/09/2024: There's a buzz about this place! Perfect place to eat in Islington, off of cobbled streets reminiscent of the old days. The food was tasty! I had fish, and this was a good serving; the presentation: chef's kiss! It got very busy, but we didn't feel rushed to leave. Dessert and tea topped off the night. Good for date night.
02/09/2024: Another successful visit to this wonderful restaurant. For the first time though I had to send a plate back to the kitchen as it was a little cold … I cannot praise the reaction from the waiter enough though - it really is the sign of a truly professional and customer-facing restaurant the way complaints are handled! The dish was speedily re-prepared and it was as delicious as I have come to expect.

It was excellent value, generous portions & freshly cooked for collection. Delighted with the service & highly recommend.
03/06/2024: We cycled the royal canal from Clondara(Clondra as per the locals) to Keenagh and found Macks shack. The staff were very friendly, the food was really nice , the place was very clean and it was very reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again.

15/08/2024: Today the 13th July 2024 I went to Menara to get a caramel latte and when I got to the cafe it was closed I was just so upset that I couldn't get my usual Saturday caramel latte out of there
13/08/2024: Food tasted good but having to wait over 30 minutes for two coffees and two sandwiches and then for my sandwich order to be wrong when it finally arrives is horrendous service in my opinion doubt we will be returning unless I've got a few days off work to be able to sit round for my order to arrive
