I’ve been to Frederick’s a few times now, and it’s always been great. The food is delicious, service friendly, and atmosphere refined and relaxed. In summer, they have an amazing garden at the back - it felt like we weren’t in London anymore!

We are so happy we chose Frederick's for lunch after our legal weeding ceremony at Islington Town Hall. From the very beginning, Andreea made the whole process incredibly easy and stress-free. She was a pleasure to work with, responsive, organised and attentive to every detail. On the day, everything had been perfectly arranged in advance. Our guests' food orders had been taken care of, all of the drinks we had requested were ready in the room, and every detail had been thoughtfully considered. We were especially touched by the little extras – the beautifully printed menus, place cards and welcome sign. These thoughtful touches made the celebration feel so special and exceeded our expectations. The Clarence Room was beautiful and the perfect size for our group of 16 guests, with plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy the afternoon. The food was outstanding and received so many compliments from our guests. In fact, everyone commented on both the quality of the food and the exceptional service. Everything was executed flawlessly from start to finish. Frederick's made our wedding celebration feel effortless and truly special. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you to Andreea and the entire team for helping us create such wonderful memories.

Fredericks is a well located and surprising find in Islington. Situated behind what appears to be an old pub is a very nice family owned restaurant with friendly, helpful staff, very good food and a light and comfortable dining space. We started with the dressed crab, which came with pickled cucumber and a (salmon?) tasting pate with beetroot and we also ordered the scallops - both were very good. We had the salmon with asparagus and steamed potatoes and the chicken with charred courgette for mains. The meals were very nicely prepared and presented. If there was one thing we would have preferred is to have the fish less cooked as it was a bit dry. We also shared a side of chips, which could have been more crispy. These small issues aside, Fredericks stands out in Islington in an area that has mostly (very) casual dining. Desserts were summer pudding and strawberry eton mess with strawberry ice cream - both were really well done. We also enjoyed a bottle of Italian gavi di gavi which was great with the dishes we ordered. Fredericks delivers a high standard overall, we had a very nice meal with good friendly service - we definitely plan to return next time we visit.

Restaurants like these have been around for so long for a reason . Lovely atmosphere and ambience .

Fantastic Food & Excellent Service! ​Just had a fantastic dinner at Frederick's in Angel. The scallops and the monkfish were both delicious (for those undecided. Get the Scallops). ​The absolute highlight of our evening, though, was the service. A massive shoutout to Jason, who looked after our table on numerous occasions. He did an incredible job, was highly attentive, and truly made the dining experience what it was! We will definitely be back! 🙌

Justa fab place,good food great service wonderful atmosphere indoors or out

I think this is our fourth visit there and there were 12 of us. Had an amazing circular table at the back. As always, the service is amazing the food is amazing. We were going to sit in the garden but it was 35° so sat indoors with the lovely air-conditioning. Would highly recommend to my mind it’s one of the best restaurants in class.

The best day The team at Fredrick’s really know how to deliver a fantastic meal and party. Wether in the main restaurant of in one of their private rooms The staff are perfectly trained and the food delicious. The menus are well balanced and prepared as well as being beautifully presented. We had a celebratory lunch for 18 we chose our menus before hand and the staff made sure everyone was happy with their choices. The pace was perfect and everyone was served at exactly the same time. Plenty of voices for all dietary needs and an extensive wine list to complement each dish. So happy with the day Would highly highly recommend.
