Stopped here for some Sunday dinner. Lovely Carvery. Food was delicious. All the staff were very kind and very attentive. Very generous kids portions and adults too. Staff were always clearing away tables and it was a joy to eat in. Glasses and pints of water were available to take. They had blackcurrant and orange beside them for people to add to water. All free of charge. Fantastic idea and first time I have seen this. Plenty of parking outside.

My car broke down on the M8. As my car was being fixed in the morning the gentleman kindly recommended Firgrove Hotel . He called ahead (Pat Malon road side assistance you are a legend). Everyone was so friendly in the Hotel. From a genuine warm reception. A generous tasty Lasagne was served even though the kitchen had long closed and friendly efficient bar service. My car disaster turned out better than expected thanks to the lovely people here. Highly recommended 👌

6 of us ate here recently and the food was incredible. We sampled 4 different dishes as some ordered the same. Every plate was so tasty and plenty of food. There was plenty staff working and all excellent. Well done. Hightly recommend this hotel.

A big thank you to the entire team involved in organising, preparing the room, for cooking a delicious meal and serving with efficiency, kindness and a smile today; it was really lovely and everyone in our group of 18 people thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Sunday roast doesn't get better than this, huge portion, properly cooked veg, and melt in the mouth beef (from Sean Fitzgerald in Ballylanders). And the rhubarb tart... with well flavoured custard and PROPER coffee to finish. Doesn't get better than this!

I stayed here at the weekend. It was a pleasure to stay at a truly Irish hotel. It had atmosphere and good honest food. The staff were exceptional. I would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the area. Thank you to the owners and staff of Firgrove Hotel for a very pleasant stay.

Lovely service and breakfast, but the whole place is aged and threadbare, and charging 80 euros for bed and breakfast is way too much. If I was in the area again I would look elsewhere.
