Flanagan's Restaurant in Dublin

Recently went to Dublin for the first time and ate here twice. Both times the food was great and the service was excellent. This was also a quieter place to go, which is exactly what I needed after a couple of busy days.

I went for a traditional Irish food and I wasn't wrong in choosing this place. First of all, the service is amazing. My waiter Sheetal was very polite and constantly paying attention. The order was ready very quickly and the waiter was very good at giving advices regarding which meal to order. Secondly, the lamb that I've ordered was very soft and creamy , I loved the taste. I enjoyed every moment. Last but not least, the dessert was amazing and each bit of it melted in my mouth. Very nice ! Highly recommend this place !

Haven't been here in a few years but dropped in for breakfast and it is as good as I remembered Food was fab service was excellent and prices were reasonable would highly recommend

Brilliant service, food arrived very fast and the staff were all very friendly. The atmosphere was very good with nice music too. 10/10

Great service and delicious food. It's a matter of preference, but the steamed vegetables weren't really an addition for us. Lovely stews and sweet desserts!

My fiancé and I went here after been to the ambassador theatre 🎥. We were greeted with big smiles and hellos from bouncers to waiters/waitress. The atmosphere was so nice and so chilled it wasn't really busy. But it was nearly closing time in which we didn't realise, however, the service was amazing the lady had a smile ear to ear so pleasing and welcoming and even though it was nearly closing time, we werent rushed which does happen. Anyway, I had the fish and chips with peas which oh my good lord just writing this review my mouth is watering it is 10am and I am wondering if getting fish from Flanagan's is a good idea 🤣 my fiance had the roast chicken 🍗 which was also mouth watering and done to perfection 👌. Overall we would eat here again. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and good service all around.

I've been coming to Flanagans in Dublin for 40 years, and it's always a warm welcome—greeted with a smile and a friendly hello every single time. From hearty breakfasts and lunch specials to delicious dinners, everything is fresh, cooked to order, piping hot, and full of flavour. Prices stay very competitive, and the building retains its timeless charm and character that keeps me returning. A true Dublin gem! Cash and Card accepted

So...it is our 4th time in a row that we are here for dinner. Simple, but good food, nice staff. The waitress we had at the first evening smiled when she saw us the next day. On the 3 evening, we just wanted some dessert and coffee. At first they said it is not possible, they only do desserts when you had a main course. We ordered some starters and after that, the waitress brought us the dessert card. We were so happy and loved the apple pie and banana thingy. We gave her a nice tip and we were all happy :) Greetings from us, the red jacket and purple mickey jumper ones 👋

The restaurant offers lasagna with fries at lunchtime, among other dishes, which is a rather unusual combination. The dish was tasty: the lasagna was solid, the fries crispy—both were fine on their own, but together they lacked a certain cohesion. The portion was large and filling, and the service was friendly and efficient. Overall, the food served its purpose without being particularly outstanding or disappointing. However, the combination was somewhat jarring and would likely surprise those who prefer classic Italian cuisine. Three stars for decent quality and service, with deductions for the somewhat unconventional lunch menu.

We arrived without a reservation, and it wasn't very crowded, so we had no problems. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the kids' menu was good too.
