Food For Thought in Dublin

It was our first time in Galway city and since we travel with a small dog, that is too spoilt to be left in any kennel, we were quite limited in our dining in choices. We found Galway to be very welcoming but this place deserves a special praise. Absolutely lovely cafe near the main street, welcoming and warm. It has a great selection of breakfast options, offers generous portions and a very good coffee. I would highly recommend this place.

The first time I visited Food For Thought in Galway, I was impressed by their amazing coffee. I enjoyed it so much that I went back later the same day to try different flavors. Their pumpkin spice latte and white chocolate drinks are definitely worth trying. A few days later, I returned with my Irish husband (I’m American) and ordered the pumpkin spice latte again. While waiting for my drink, a woman asked me if I was in line. I politely responded, “No, just waiting.” Then, to my surprise, one of the workers told her, “You can skip the tourist,” to which she replied, “Yes, you serve us first.” The comment felt incredibly rude and made me not want to return. Just because I have an American accent doesn’t mean I’m a tourist—I actually live in Galway with my husband. This experience left me upset. It’s never safe to assume someone’s status, and even if the worker meant it as a joke, it was unprofessional and hurtful. Galway thrives on tourism, and I would never disrespect anyone like that. While their drinks are fantastic, I can’t see myself going back after this experience. If you do visit, their coffee is excellent, and some of the staff are thoughtful and kind. However, be mindful of how you’re treated. For me, that one comment ruined what had been a great experience.

Almost missed this place because it's in a side street. Lovely place with an extensive breakfast menu. Crispy bacon is actually crispy, bagels are nice, and chai latte is actually black tea based and not just powder mixed in warm milk. Staff was very patient and friendly. Will definitely come back when in Galway again.

Great place to eat going to Galway.

Small cozy cafe a few steps from the main street. The coffee was delicious, everything looks homemade. A coffee without a lot of frills and where you can relax for a while. Prices completely ok. You sit on comfortable chairs along the wall. I found the atmosphere very relaxed and the service quick and friendly. Clear recommendation.

Delicious coffee and delicious brownie in a cozy atmosphere! Coffee: The café offers a large selection of delicious coffee specialties. We tried the cappuccino and the mocha and loved them both. The coffee is aromatic, well brewed and at the perfect temperature. Brownie: Today we also treated ourselves to a brownie that was to die for. It was warm, chocolaty and had a fluffy consistency. Ambience: The café has a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The furnishings are modern and tasteful. Conclusion: We are absolutely thrilled with Food for Thought and will definitely come back! This café is an absolute must for all coffee lovers and cake fans!

This is an authentic mexican spot, I went to the North one and the place is small but clean and the food was so good..😛😋 The tacos were the best and the salsas made me go back to Mexico. If you are looking for an authentic mexican food, reasonable portions and prices this is the place.

Maten var veldig god, og det var saftig kjøtt. God porsjon for lunsj, men liten for middag. Litt dyre retter, men 7 stk taco dia… var veldig godt. Dårlig engelskkunnskaper på de ansatte noe som gjorde det vanskelig å forsikre seg om at vi fikk glutenfritt. Litt dårlig utvalg av glutenfri mat. Maten kom fort og smakte godt og det var det viktigste. Plusspoeng for fin fremvisning.
