An Italian restaurant located in the heart of Dublin, we enjoyed the pizza and pasta. The only downside was the dessert which did not live up to the dishes. The servers are pleasant and efficient.

After an event at Dublin Castle last night, we had booked Forno 500 for a pizza. Their advertised menu looked good, especially as they offer white or non tomato based pizza too. The small restaurant is busy and bustling which is always a good sign. We were welcomed nicely and shown to our table. We ordered two different white pizzas and a bottle of wine from Puglia. No sooner than after we had a few sips of wine, only a matter of a few minutes, the pizzas arrived! This was a warning sign. It takes more than a few minutes to make a decent pizza. The thick dough was soft and chewy, including the "charred" authentic looking crust. The topping did not need to be cooked for long but it was cold in the middle and the dough below was very soggy. What a shame it was not the well cooked Napoli style pizza we were looking forward to and are so used to in Italy, or decent pizza restaurants elsewhere. Our two espresso coffees were left on the counter before service for a few minutes and not overly hot on arrival. Neither was there any sugar - in a so called Italian restaurant! We paid our €90 (including tip as the staff were working hard) and left dissatisfied. We won't be back.

No volveremos.

Lots of food places in this area and we were looking for something a little special and I think we found it... The food was fantastic. We were lucky to get a table as I got the impression you need a booking but they squeezed us in and I so glad they did. The staff we attentive and friendly, the food was quick and tasted so so good. We only planned for main but it was so good we had to try a dessert and that was also to die for. Will definitely eat here again next time in Dublin....

Favourite Italian restaurant outside Italy - menu has a reasonable variety of pizza and non pizza options, fluffy Neapolitan base, excellent service, what’s not to like!

This restaurant is now our go-to....as often as possible! We were in Rome recently and to be honest struggled to find food on par with it. Staff so nice, and obviously a fab chef!

I recently visited an Italian restaurant in Dublin with friends for a catch-up, and had a somewhat mixed experience. While the service was efficient, the staff seemed quite busy and a bit rushed at times. Our food arrived promptly, and although there was a small issue with the bill for one of our party members, it was quickly resolved without much fuss.
We were seated right away thanks to our reservation. For my main, I chose the Rigatoni All’Amatriciana with gluten-free pasta. It was fine, though I was expecting a more visually appealing presentation. The standout items for me were the Arancini starter, which was both delicious and well-presented, and the dessert, which was equally satisfying.
One thing that caught me by surprise, especially compared to neighbouring Italian restaurants, was that there was no offer of Parmesan as a topping for our dishes, something I would have expected.
Overall, I’d consider returning, but I’d likely choose a quieter time and opt for the à la carte menu rather than the set dinner menu.
