Malahide is an expensive town to get lunch. Went into this pub. Very typical old style pub.

A bar on a picturesque shopping street in Malahide. We wandered in by chance and were pleasantly surprised. Decent food at a reasonable price in a spacious venue with 70s-80s decor.

We loved this place so much we ate here twice in 2 days. Beef stew seems like their most popular dish - it was delicious! Came back for lunch and it was just as good. Plus very good service. Thanks Louise! You were great!

Matt Ryan Bar

13/01/2026: I love this hotel. I’ve been a lover of Malahide for a long time but never stayed here until now. I stayed in an Exec Sea View Room, and while the room is kind of dated, I don’t mean that in a negative way. It was not in any way faded or in need of an upgrade, it was clean, elegant, with old world charm. A very comfortable bed, nice Rituals products in bathroom, chocolates and water and a gorgeous corner view of the sea. The staff are wonderful, a warm welcome at reception and in all of the bars and restaurants. The lobby area has a wonderful ambience, warm colours and vibe, busy with customers enjoying afternoon teas, I was told it’s recently been refurbished and they’ve done an excellent job as you could spend all day in here happily. The Marksman bar is also very inviting, can imagine spending a couple of hours in here with cocktails with great atmosphere and lighting. And you are right on the coast for a lovely walk along the sea or a couple of minutes from the main town which has lots to offer. I always like to stay in Malahide rather than Dublin centre, you are only 20/25 mins away by taxi if you want to go and only 12 minutes from the airport. It’s perfect and I can’t wait to return again. It’s a gem.
13/01/2026: Nice hotel which seems to have been recently refurbished. My room was comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed. Staff were helpful and plenty of choice for breakfast. The location of the hotel is great - Malahide is a pretty village with nice restaurants and bars and it offers good transport links to Dublin city. I would recommend.

20/01/2026: Lovely funky cafe in Malahide. Nice food, coffee and soup! Delicious and reasonable. Very friendly staff.
02/01/2026: Got the toasties and soup deal and my friends got toasties and chips. The soup was fantastic and the toasties were crisp and very cheesy! Only the high chairs were available when we came as the others were occupied. The staff was lovely too. Came in later to get vanilla latte and that was delicious too! Great experience overall :)
