The best restaurants in Malahide

19/07/2026: We had the most perfect meal at The Greedy Goose. The service was impeccable, we were so well looked after by the 2 fabulous ladies on service that day. The food? Incredible. We travelled from Castleknock for the meal and it was worth it. The photos below don't do it justice, no matter what your taste you'll be very satisfied with the incredible range of flavours. We'll be back. Highly recommended. Thank you Greedy Goose!

11/07/2026: Really good food and very very lovely staff, friendly & attentive but unfortunately that bathroom is in bits, fairly bad black mold growing in the ladies toilet, they really need to sort that out as everything else is nice about the place, bit of a shame

24/06/2026: Enjoyed dinner but there were a few issues. Lettuce was not prepared correctly and as a result I ended up with a mouthful of gritty food. I put it aside and notified the manager. She, in her defense, comped the meal (it was not expected) and she notified the kitchen. The seafood special was ok, as was the chicken Supreme. An OK meal, but what made it more disappointing was that the temperature in the restaurant was 28 degrees. AC couldn’t keep up. Unlikely to be back.

14/07/2026: Excellent food and a great staff! Was warmly greeted and our waiter was very knowledgeable! Interior is clean and elegant.

20/06/2026: Exceptional dinner experience ! Peter looked after us so well, professional, friendly and a real flair for what he does. Impressed with the mixology also. Never have tasted chicken cooked so well. Beautiful interiors also.

26/07/2026: If you are lucky enough like we were to get a window seat on a beautiful sunny day, then, it's a lovely vista overlooking the sea and marina. The staff who served us we both polite and patient as we pondered the menu choices. We chose from the set and al a carte menu and although the portions were quite small, they were adequate when we added some sides. The dishes were fresh and well flavoured and helped along by a nice bottle of wine and based on four sharing the guide price would be between fifty to sixty euro per person. The atmosphere was nice and friendly and it's a popular choice so it was quite busy but we didn’t feel rushed. Yes, it will be on our list when we next visit this beautiful area. Malahide is a wonderful place to visit and has good travel connections to Dublin City using the DART Train Service. The town has a pedestrianised main street with a wide selection of bars etc. Definitely a great place to visit whether you arrive by yacht to its marina or by road or rail. Love the menu, and on our last visit, I was very pleased with the food, the service, and the general buzz about the place! We will be back soon...

06/05/2026: Oh dear. 4 cyclists. I bought the scones. 26e for 4 scones. Great scones. Very big and tasty but that is a shocking price.

I used to really enjoy coming here, but it feels like the maintenance has slipped—the tables and outdoor chairs are in need of a deep clean and some repair. I also found the portions to be quite small for the cost, and the coffee lacked flavor. It’s a shame to see such a nice spot lose its spark; I hope the management takes a look at these details to bring the quality back up."

22/06/2026: This hotel is in a great location..it has gorgeous decor . The bed was very comfortable..everything was very clean. The leisure centre was lovely, the facilities were great.

13/06/2026: Stayed our last night to be close to airport and wish we had stayed more nights. We booked the family room which was huge with the greatest sea view. Shower and amenities were great and we had a small fridge. The breakfast was included in our rate and was wonderful! We also enjoyed the short walk into the village and visiting the castle and gardens. This would be a great base for those looking to have access to Dublin (20 minutes on DART) but also being outside of city close to airport, golf and other sites.
