The best restaurants in Malahide

12/06/2026: I really liked the concept of the menu. All the food I tried was delicious, reasonably priced for the amount of food you get and left me absolutely stuffed. Will 100% eat here again.

06/06/2026: OMG you better try the surf and turf and banoffie sundae!!! They are unreal!!!

16/05/2026: This has got to be the top place to get ribs from. They are delicious. They do different specials on different days Thursday they do wings and ribs very tasty. And only €30. Bargain.

10/05/2026: The food was very disappointing — all 4 of us ate there, and the burgers were terrible! The coffee was cold as well. I never write reviews, but this time we were really disappointed.

19/05/2026: Charming place with excellent food. An interesting feature is the typical menu served at the table and the friendliness of the staff. We really enjoyed the typical Italian atmosphere near the center of Dublin.

12/05/2026: We have been going here years, its our favourite restaurant in Dublin. The food and service are exceptional and the prices are very reasonable! We love the garlic cheese pizza bread!

05/06/2026: I had the chowder and loved it, it was creamy and full of flavour. My friend had the beef ragu pasta and we didn't expect an Italian dish to be this good in a small Irish restaurant (respectfully 🙈😂) Staff was kind and restaurant was nice, pleasant and quiet.

18/04/2026: A great place to go for a meal. A warm welcome from the staff as we went in and fantastic service throughout. The food was delicious, both the Chicken Supreme and the Classic Burger were cooked to perfection. Being diabetic the indulgent tasty desserts needed quite a bit of exercise afterwards! We are looking forward to going again when return to Ireland on our next trip.

13/06/2026: After visiting Malahide Castle, a stop at the Al Fresco restaurant is a must – it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy something truly special! From the moment you enter, you're captivated by the wonderful, atmospheric interior, which creates an incredibly cozy, Italian atmosphere. The soft Italian music flowing from the speakers makes you feel like you're in Italy, even if just for a moment. The food? Absolutely delicious! Every dish is prepared with incredible care and flavor. The prices are also affordable, which is a truly pleasant surprise in such a charming place. The service deserves a special mention – incredibly friendly, warm, and incredibly professional. The waiter pays attention to every detail, making guests feel truly cared for. It's rare to find such a lovely atmosphere and such a high level of hospitality. On a sunny day, you can sit outside and soak up the incredible atmosphere of Malahide – a true pleasure and the perfect ending to a day after visiting the castle. I am absolutely delighted with this place and wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone – a must-see!

09/06/2026: I came here with my boss and really enjoyed the food. Everything was delicious and I would love to come back again. The staff were friendly and the service was very good. The restaurant was nice and comfortable, and I had a great experience here.

20/12/2025: The food was nice but nothing particularly special. However the staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. I had a lovely relaxed brunch with a nice view. I would eat here again.

24/03/2026: Honestly, I might’ve walked in with a high expectation on the food. I’ve had the chicken Milanese which was alight, the breading was a bit soggy, didn’t have any taste of lemon which in my opinion is essential in that dish and i don’t why they added some sweet yellow paste in there, which in my opinion just ruins the point of the chicken Milanese because frankly why would a salty and lemon ish dish would have something so sweet in it?.my gf had some sea food pasta she really enjoyed it. But apart from that Milanese great place. Love the aesthetic of the building👍

09/06/2026: Came by around 7pm, they told us the table has to be returned by 8.20pm we said no problem! I wanted to get the mussels but saw that it wasn’t available, so ordered the clams instead and it was amazing. Had cod and chicken for mains and they were delicious as well. Overall a really great experience until the bill came, we paid for it, and when we were ready to leave, the waiter (who served us in the beginning and once in the middle) said unkindly “is there anything wrong” we said “no, it’s all good!” Then he said “the service charge is not included” and walked away. As we leave, said Thank you to him and he ignored us. Well, if the service charge is an expectation, please feel free to add it in the bill next time instead of making it optional. And we do prefer a much upfront cost, than a variable that takes up “thinking power”. Because optional comes with the risk factor of how the person is feeling that day, whether the waiter went above and beyond, were there anything that particularly stood out. We left feeling guilty, when we’d have wanted to leave happily saying bye to a great restaurant and looking forward to recommend it. Anyway, I loved the food, just not sure if we got the right waiter that would brought the best out of us.

03/06/2026: Had a really great meal in Old Street at the weekend. Fantastic staff, great fresh produce beautifully cooked and presented. We were looked after by an incredibly nice guy. So friendly and attentive. Best restaurant experience we have had in quite some time.

19/05/2026: Cool place to grab an ale, a Guinness, or whatever your poison is. Sat at a table where the table was a hollow barrel, leading down into what looked like a hundreds of years old creepy tunnel. 7 years later stopped on fir lunch and got an absolute MASSIVE hunk of fish for my fish and chips, which was quite good.

21/03/2026: First time trying this cafe, as every time I have passed before could not gain entry due to how popular it is 😊 Went on a quieter weekday lunch time and had ham & cheese toastie with a white coffee. My friend had veggie burrito and an iced matcha latte. Food is hearty and coffee is good . Staff friendly indoor and some outdoor seating available also. Good veggie and vegan options.

06/05/2026: Oh dear. 4 cyclists. I bought the scones. 26e for 4 scones. Great scones. Very big and tasty but that is a shocking price.

20/04/2026: "Disappointing return visit today. I used to really enjoy coming here, but it feels like the maintenance has slipped—the tables and outdoor chairs are in need of a deep clean and some repair. I also found the portions to be quite small for the cost, and the coffee lacked flavor. It’s a shame to see such a nice spot lose its spark; I hope the management takes a look at these details to bring the quality back up."

23/05/2026: Great food and great location. Had the wings and they were fantastic. Service was really smooth and quick without being rushed, a nice change from some places

10/05/2026: Vegan salad was good a little spice or some Tofu for protein would have elevated it. Sticky toffee sauce was delicious but the pudding had a burnt after taste which ruined a great dessert.

18/05/2026: I have been coming to this caffeination station for just over 1 year, and from my very first order the staff, hospitality, and experience has led to me coming almost every day (unemployed) - see CV attached below :) I usually wouldn’t write reviews, but I needed to give a huge thank you to one of the team, I was late coming from a feminist book club gathering and arrived at 3.01 - when I arrived at the Yellow Door, one minute late and dissapointed, I asked if I was too late to revive my usual order, one mocha, almond croissant, and good vibes. Met by Jodie Faith at the counter who kept the Faith Jodie in me to arrive, as I haven’t missed a day since Rein me In was released by Sam Fender told me she saw my car from some distance and said she made my order before I had even arrived to ensure I didn’t have to go coffeeless the entire day. (I drive a bright pink Lamborghini Adventador, so it’s not hard to miss lol). I was taken a back by the initiative taken by JK Rowlfaith, and with the current situation in the world right now, it really made me think there’s some decent eggs still around the place. So thanks again Jodie and the yellow door. If there’s any coffee, and general social spot in Malahide, that I could reccomend it’s this place, apart from the coffee being my fav in Dublin - the staff and their “all smiles” policy make the experience something I genuinely look forward too each morning. Huge congratulations to Mark (Bean Specialist), and the rest of the team inside the cappucino capsule who put a smile on my face, and a extra hot skinny late, oat milk in my right palm every day.

03/05/2026: Great food and equally great service. Fairly fast turnaround by patrons for those waiting to sit down. A good place for dogs and kids. Wheelchair accessible. It's quite a happy and vibrant spot. Very much recommended.

21/04/2026: Jaipur is the best Indian restaurant. We tried many, but we keep going back to Jaipur for the past 13 years. Whether we get takeaway or we book a table for a night out, the food is always delicious and the service impeccable.

13/05/2026: This is a great pub with excellent food, probably the best bar food in Malahide so if you like a drink and tasty food the is the place for you.
