The best restaurants in Malahide

13/07/2025: Excellent food, first class service, wonderful ambiance and great facilities for babies and wheelchairs. Can’t recommend this highly enough. Absolutely will return

28/06/2025: I had a bad experience ordering a takeaway wrap here today - I waited 30 minutes for my food and despite checking in often with the staff on progress and being visibly present, they had forgotten to give me my order and had left it behind the counter to go cold. I also wasn’t offered any apology which would have greatly helped, not a great experience, especially at 39 weeks pregnant!

27/06/2025: Decent food and service, but the cleanliness is a let down. Toilets are not kept clean (customers are to blame for the mess, but the business should do better at keeping on top of it).

13/07/2025: Popped in for an early dinner with my sister after a long day at the beach. Reservation was at 5.30. We arrived at 5.00 just as the restaurant opened. The host was lovely and seated us early outside as we requested on the online reservation notes. The staff were so friendly and attentive. Food was very tasty. Cocktails stole the show with great value for money. Would 100 percent recommend and can’t wait to return.

09/07/2025: Stopped in for lunch/brunch on a rainy Saturday. Food was delicious. I can't remember the price but I thought the full Irish was good value and a perfect size for me. Proper thick maple syrup with the pancakes too. It gets busy around lunch time so you might need to wait.

09/07/2025: My husband and I had dinner here a few weeks ago. The food was good, but not mind blowing, although maybe that was down to the selections on the early bird menu. The service was pleasant and friendly. We did have a problem with noise in the restaurant, so I would caution anyone who is sensitive to that. My husband is hard of hearing, and I requested a quiet table in our reservation. They clearly made an effort to accomodate us against a wall, which was great for about 15 minutes, but then as the restaurant filled up, it became so loud I couldn't hear myself, and my hearing is fine! We were literally yelling at each other. I don't know if it was due to a large party nearby or if it's just the way the restaurant is designed/insulated, but in any case, it made us just want to leave as quickly as possible, which is obviously not the goal of a nice dinner out. I would consider going again and getting different dishes, and perhaps sitting outside.

19/06/2025: Simply fantastic! I haven't eaten such good Pakistani food in a long time. The fish and meat dishes were buttery soft and tender. The service was very warm and friendly. Upscale, charming decor. Highly recommended, even if it's a bit on the expensive side.

24/07/2025: Had the kimchi sausage rolls that are handmade each morning. Would love if there was a little more kimchi as its a new experience for me . The coffee is good and the service is great . Its an awful pity the premises are not a bit bigger but they have fone great things in food , toilets and ambiance

21/07/2025: Friendly service, absolutely stunning food! Vegetarian burrito was amazing, the beef one to die for and so happy about cheese fries with two (!!) Cheese layers - one on top and one in the middle! Will absolutely recommend!

12/07/2025: I mostly order fish and chips from them when I'm in Malahide. The place is nice and well run, never had any problems with takeaways. However, last time I didn't like the chips, they didn't seem the best quality. Lots of bits with black spots

11/07/2025: Gluten free fish and chips. Gluten free chicken goujons for big kids and small. Sadly no gluten free bread to make sandos, but that’s not why you came here now is it. Staff was friendly and kept a clean shop. Gluten free food from the kitchen served through its own labeled window. Thicc fries. Thanks Beshoff Bros!

28/06/2025: delicious food. Everything we had was tasty and delicious. The desserts were amazing too.

26/05/2025: Myself and my wife had the best brunch we’ve ever had. Gorgeous coffee, super fresh orange juice. The eggs on our Benedict and Royale were spot on. The seasoning on everything was spot on as well. 5 stars to the chefs. In a city of mediocre brunch places this restaurant shows how it should be done. Can’t wait to come back to eat everything else

29/03/2025: The place feels dirty and the tables are not wiped down between patrons. The staff sneak in marshmallows and cream for an extra €1.20 without informing you of the charge. To add to the insult, the marshmallows look like they've just emerged from a packet that expired in 1963. Wouldn't send send my mother-in law there... avoid at all costa!

28/07/2025: I don't get why this place has been so popular for the last 30+ years. It looks like time stopped here 30 years ago. So outdated. Everything is old. Customers are too. Maybe it's a comforting place for them? Tables are separated by some sort of mashrabiya, maybe a resurgence of the church confessional? No design skill here at all. As for the food, it is not bad, but there is no creativity whatsoever. Just plain home cooking. Great disappointment. A place to avoid if you want a proper restaurant experience.

20/06/2025: Poor food for unreasonable price. Dry hard meat in taco with the bones left in meat. Hubby almost broke a tooth. Preheated unedible chips. Wouldn't recommend to anyone this place. Never ever again.

06/07/2025: Do you guys roast your own coffee? One of the best Americanos I have recently drank, no bitter and burned as in many places, very smooth taste. ☕

09/05/2025: Unbelievable toasties and I truly mean that. Chicken and chorizo. Wow. But the coffee is average if not below average. Better off getting it next door.
