I have stayed in the Grand on many occasions, this time we booked through a third party website which was cheaper but we ended up in a very small bedroom.
The Grand does many things well but the breakfast is one of the best parts about staying in this hotel, so pay the extra for breakfast and get a window seat and enjoy the view.
Great location, especially when the weather is good like on this visit and if you get a chance go on Howth cliff walk,it's a great experience.

Beautiful updated room, nice size bathroom. Writing desk, table with two chairs. Tea kettle and a fancy coffee maker. A fan was provided, which was needed because we were there during a hot 🔥 spell in June. The room was very hot and stuffy.
Dinner and breakfast served in the restaurant overlooking the bay, just gorgeous. All the food was delicious. Great service throughout all the meals.

This hotel is in a great location..it has gorgeous decor . The bed was very comfortable..everything was very clean. The leisure centre was lovely, the facilities were great.

Stayed our last night to be close to airport and wish we had stayed more nights. We booked the family room which was huge with the greatest sea view. Shower and amenities were great and we had a small fridge. The breakfast was included in our rate and was wonderful! We also enjoyed the short walk into the village and visiting the castle and gardens. This would be a great base for those looking to have access to Dublin (20 minutes on DART) but also being outside of city close to airport, golf and other sites.

A great place for a change from Dublin. Convenient to the airport. The service at the bar and restaurant was very friendly and efficient. The room was very comfortable and had all amenities needed. A visit to the castle and gardens is worth the time and effort while in malahide.

We've been coming here every year for a birthday meal and have always enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, this year's visit was disappointing. The food wasn't up to the usual standard, and the fish appeared to have been left under the heat lamp for too long, leaving it dry and rubbery rather than fresh and flaky.
It's a shame because we've always looked forward to celebrating here. Hopefully this was just an off day and the quality returns to the level we've come to expect over the years.
Amazing hotel with amazing food and helpfull staff. You could get a room with sea view. Recently refurbished. Big car park. So close to Malahide Village.
