Really loved the food. We had lunch here: 1. The Italian Special sandwich really took me to Italy. The sun dried tomatoes and the perfectly baked Bagel. Wow. The taste of rich and flavorful basil pesto. I could taste the flavor of the sandwich as a whole and that of the ingredients (sun dried tomatoes, basil pesto, sesame on the bagel, and the goats cheese) individually. Just perfect. 2. We had soup and salad also, both with a side of brown bread. And it was one of most unique and tasty bread. Perfect consistency. 3. The iced coffee was perfect too, it’s hard to find coffee done like this. I enjoyed it, rich arabica flavor and not too sweet. 4. Also, the salad plate had the best coleslaw. It was fresh and delivered its flavors perfectly on the palette. I never had a good coleslaw like this before. 5. Finally, the bakery items, we had fresh cream slices and they were so goood. Not sugary, perfect sweetness and creamy. Thank you guys. And lastly, the service was friendly. Wish you a good day. We will be regulars now, so see you soon.

A small bakery/Cafe in Mullingar where hospitality and comfort is #1! The place might not be "elegant" like some other cafes, but this place is all about leaving with a full belly and a genuine smile. Food is delicious and the staff are lovely.

What a gem! The lovely food is only outdone by the excellent service. The ladies could not do enough for us and were so kind to our baby also. The omelette was delicious and very generous size. The red velvet cake was to die for!! Traditional Irish cafe doing it the right way.

Perfect lunch spot. I had their special sandwich which had roast beef and horseradish. On the side there was sliced boiled egg, coleslaw, sliced tomatoes and a lovely wee salad. Just perfect mix of everything and felt like a home crafted lunch my mum used to make. And for the love of god, get the millionaires shortbread… the texture was just incredible, the caramel had this amazing level of chew to it, the chocolate on top had these criss-cross scores that meant when you bit into it, the chocolate would easily crack and wouldn’t ooze caramel out the sizes, the shortbread base was firm which just added to the chewy denseness of the whole thing. Millionaires shortbread perfection

Rock 'n' Bowl

26/11/2025: The place was quite dirty and definitely understaffed, at least during our weekday visits. One positive point is that children under one year old enter for free, although the area reserved for babies is quite small compared to the others. The main issue is the lack of staff: usually just one person outside and one behind the bar. Because of this, you often have to wait a long time just to leave, since a staff member needs to come and open the gate. Has the management ever considered using a remote control for the gate? I understand that during busy times there might always be someone at reception (or at least I hope so), but with a remote system the problem would be solved at any time. Another option could be installing a high-level button to open the gate, out of children’s reach but accessible to adults. The person behind the bar is practically invisible, as she’s always locked away doing prep, while the only staff member outside is running around like crazy, even when the place is almost empty. Overall, it’s not very well organised and definitely dirtier than what you would expect for a children’s venue. That said, it’s still a good alternative in Mullingar, but there is definitely a lot of room for improvement.
15/11/2025: Kids loved it. As expected food a little over priced but no complaints from kids. I'll def go again off peak for the quieter experience and cheaper prices 👌
