Wow, we were completely blown away by the food at Funké. We shared a few different dishes, and everything was incredible. Loads of gluten free options too. The service was fantastic as well, extremely friendly and attentive, and the vibe and decor were super cosy. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Sligo!

Food and service was brilliant. I’d never had Afro Caribbean food before and loved it. We had the calamari and beef skewers starters and the chicken Caribbean Rasta pasta and the chicken and jollof rice. Will definitely be back!

09/03/2026: Really enjoyed my meal here. I ordered the dishes in the photo and they were excellent. I decided to go for something quick and asked the host to recommend something for me. It was perfect quick meal while in the town for work. The noodles were nicely cooked with a good mix of vegetables, and the stir-fried chicken dish had great flavour with fresh ingredients and a nice balance of spice. The portion size was generous and everything tasted freshly made. Overall, a very satisfying meal and I’d definitely order this again if I’m back in Sligo.
28/02/2026: The food was spectacular. We ordered ribs and rice, and duck. Everything was delicious! Special mention to the young blond guy who served us; he was very friendly. Thank you so much!

11/11/2025: Love this hotel got a fantastic balcony room it was outstanding got a lovely treat as we were celebrating 40th wedding anniversary, the hotel is so central in Sligo, private parking underneath hotel a small fee for secure parking. Our meal was beautiful and breakfast was outstanding too can’t wait to go back. The hotel staff was outstanding and attentive great hotel to visit.
