F.X. Buckley in Dublin

Arrived for dinner and was immediately met with a host who was displeased we had our child with us. We were then advised that they removed their children's menu and that children aren't welcome, but they'll seat us in a few minutes. It was a confusing and rough start to a meal to be told our patronage isn't wanted but we'll still be served. The waitress that followed was courteous and the steaks we ordered for all members of the party were delicious. I would have been fine if they wanted to refuse service rather than seat us and get glared down.

The ribeye and filet were perfectly prepared and the raw oysters were fantastic. Great cocktails and service as well

It was the last one on my list to try, and here too I found it cooked incorrectly compared to my request. Service was so-so, sauces for everyone were placed in the center of the table without spoons, and there was no salt. The steak I ordered, about 1kg, was brought to the table already sliced; having not even seen it before cooking, we were left with some doubts.

Top tier steakhouse experience. The wine list was exceptional and ingredients of the highest quality. We loved the deviled kidneys, braised beef cheeks, Irish dairy cow and local blue cheese.

We had such a fantastic evening here. The atmosphere is lovely and perfect for a relaxed dinner. Everything we ordered was prepared to a high standard, especially the steak and the side of chunky chips. You can really tell the quality of the ingredients, and even the soup came with perfectly toasted, cheesy bread. We loved seeing the F.X. Buckley branding on the plates. It is a nice touch that adds to the experience. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic meat. Was a great experience and I can't remember any better beef fillet. Highly recommended.

Absolute best steak I have ever had in my entire human existence.

It was a very special birthday celebration and the server got the birthday person's entree wrong. Having never had steak in Ireland, we did not know to question it. We learned later that the entree was supposed to be something like a NY strip steak, but the server ordered fillet, which was dry. I told the server beforehand about the birthday. The tables on either side of us got their celebration desserts, but we did not, which was a bit disappointing, but the server did remember a candle on one of the desserts we ordered. The chicken entree was pretty good. The ribeye was excellent.
