F.X. Buckley in Dublin

we celebrated my son’s graduation from college and had an absolutely fantastic experience at this restaurant. The steak was simply outstanding — perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and easily one of the best I’ve had in Dublin. You can tell they take real pride in the quality of their meat and how it’s prepared. The service was equally impressive. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, genuinely friendly, and made sure everything was just right throughout the evening. It’s rare to find a place that nails both the food and the service, but they certainly did. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be back!

Visited on Tuesday, 28 October 2025 with a friend, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening. Service was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome throughout. The food was outstanding – I had a perfectly cooked steak, full of flavor and tenderness, while my friend enjoyed classic fish and chips that were crisp and delicious. Both dishes were beautifully presented and lived up to the restaurant’s reputation for quality. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience.

very expensive for steak. 6oz fillet which was not even nice for 48 euros! Drinks also very expensive.Servers were pleasant and speed of service ok.Ambiance not great...restaurant very busy and noisy.

Great food and incredibly accommodating staff

Fx buckleys never disappoint,food is top of the line. And Liz and Ramon Great operators, They along with the rest of the staff had the place running like clock work. Great experience always out here.

FX Buckley in Monkstown is a gem. The place looks stunning — cosy and warm, like you’re having dinner in a lovely home. The steak was unreal, cooked perfectly and full of flavour. Staff were sound and the whole vibe was just spot on. Can’t wait to go back!

Really excellent steak, can’t complain other than beef is getting very expensive these days everywhere. However, you won’t get better than this.

Great experience with good food. My 16oz steak was delicious. Good effort from the staff of the restaurant when I told them my partner has his birthday, and they brought a customised dessert with a candle, and they have collectively gathered around us and sang the Happy Birthday as a choir. You may consider doing it professionally guys 👀

Fantastic chateaubriand available Monday & Tuesday only €70 for two but excellent steak cooked as you like

Enjoyed a very special 20th birthday meal with our son and his siblings. From the moment we arrived, the staff were fantastic. Very prompt service and the food was really good. I enjoyed the best mussels starters that I’ve had in a while. The main courses were excellent, particularly the fillet and the steak sandwich. At the end of our meal, The staff brought a complimentary dessert to our son AND sang a brilliant happy birthday (Italian tenor style!) A very memorable meal and we will definitely go back….
