Amazing food, perfect for special occasions

Great spot. Great food. Steak was very tender and perfectly cooked. Reservation recommend. Can get busy. Nice bar upstairs (Franks bar) for pre and/or post dinner drinks. Manager was excellent- addressed small issue with one of the courses - Great to see top notch customer service in situations like that. Would highly recommend especially for meat eaters.

Food was mediocre at best. Service was okay, but very slow (not very busy either). Definitely not worth price.

The only thing was it was very hard to see the menu a lot of people had to use there phone for a light. Other than that food was amazing and cocktail aswell.

Excellent lunch spot. The steak sandwich was delicious with a very generous portion of steak. The burger was sensational — a huge, thick patty cooked perfectly, well seasoned, and finished with a great crisp on the outside. Chips were proper thick-cut potato chips, which was a big plus. Quality food, great portions, and well worth a visit.

FX Buckley Steakhouse is consistently excellent. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, the service is friendly and attentive, and the quality of the food is outstanding. Their Monday and Tuesday deal is amazing value. We shared the Chateaubriand for Two for just €70, which came with a great choice of sides and sauces. We chose the beef dripping chips and the house salad, both were delicious and complemented the steak perfectly. The steak itself was cooked beautifully and came with four fantastic sauces: pepper sauce, garlic butter, béarnaise, and bone marrow jus. We finished with desserts and they were just as impressive. The vanilla crème brûlée was silky and perfectly set, and the warm chocolate fondant was rich and indulgent. An excellent experience from start to finish and exceptional value for the quality. Highly recommend, especially on a Monday or Tuesday.

Visited lunch Sunday. Starters were tiny, 3 x scallops €19.00, a little overpriced!! Prawns pil pil 5 x prawns €18.00. The soup was tasteless, no salt?I understand its south Dublin, monkstown but are we that stupid. Mains were also tiny and over priced. I could dissect them but enough is enough.The Service was nice and professional. My observation is that of the 4 diners, not one said that it was really great, that's a problem when you are paying top dollar. But isn't that a Dublin problem...this is not an isolated event. We talk a good game but as per usual deliver overpriced product. Go overpriced Dublin and the future is yours...

we celebrated my son’s graduation from college and had an absolutely fantastic experience at this restaurant. The steak was simply outstanding — perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and easily one of the best I’ve had in Dublin. You can tell they take real pride in the quality of their meat and how it’s prepared. The service was equally impressive. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, genuinely friendly, and made sure everything was just right throughout the evening. It’s rare to find a place that nails both the food and the service, but they certainly did. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be back!
