Goose on the Loose caught our attention with its fun name and the whimsical flying goose décor, so we decided to stop in for brunch. The space has a cozy neighborhood feel, though seating was a bit tight for our group of three. We actually had to move an armchair just to comfortably get in and out of our table. They highlight their crepes and blinis, but we decided to try the Irish breakfast, French toast, an Americano, and the Mexican blini. The Mexican blini was delicious, and the Americano was a solid cup of coffee. The Irish breakfast was hearty, well prepared, and felt like the best value on the menu. Unfortunately, the French toast was a disappointment. It was simply two slices of eggy bread served with maple syrup—no fruit, butter, powdered sugar, or other accompaniments—and at just over €9, it felt overpriced for what arrived at the table. Overall, this is a cute local café in a busy tourist area, and you're definitely paying for the location. We'd happily stop back for a coffee. Gor brunch or a full meal, we'd probably walk a few blocks farther to explore some of Dublin's other options.

Decent breakfast, Decent service, reasonably priced. Some of the decorations are really charming, like the "goose plane" in the center of the ceiling.
