amazing food and good Smyth beer - the place was recommended by a local tour guide

Very pleasant restaurant, very good cuisine. But the waiter who took care of us was average... He insinuated that my girlfriend was fat because he couldn't get through the aisle except that he was the problem. Add to that some very unpleasant looks for her. To conclude, in the end he offered me a coffee which I refused and did not offer one to my girlfriend... even though she wanted one. The rest of the staff were very, very nice compared to him. We would have left a good tip if this inconvenience would not have happened… too bad!

Debbie was amazing top notch service as well as a beautiful food

I had the pleasure of dining at Gallaghers Boxty House last week. I enjoyed the Jack Smyth beer flight, the seafood chowder and a selection of three snack side dishes. Portions were generous and the food was delicious. Debbie was my amazing server. She was very attentive, while handling a full house with grace.

Debbie was more than happy to explain what a boxty is. I decided on the spice bag boxty special, which was a very generous portion, & absolutely delicious, & my friend had the lamb boxty dumplings, which he said was awesome. A great meal in the Temple Bar area, the service was fantastic. Thank you Debbie!
