Gallagher's Boxty House, menu in Dublin

Great service!! We really enjoyed our time here and glad we stopped. Seriously we didn't know what boxty was but now we make it at home haha. Of course Gallaghers does a better job and I loved the atmosphere. Our waiter was so great!! This is one of my fun memories from Dublin. Make sure you put it on your itinerary!!

Such great authentic Irish food. The Boxty is excellent. I had the Gaelic Boxty and would absolutely get it again.

Visited here with a party of 7. We all chose something different to eat, and nobody was disappointed. Service was very good and food was exceptional.

Very pleasant time for dinner. The service is fast and the dishes are generous and tasty. Special mention for the brown bread, what a killer! The boxty fries, a house specialty, are also very good. Please note that the prices are relatively high. The whole team is welcoming, and Mike has a smile and contagious energy, thank you again!

Incredible Irish food and restaurant in the belly of Dublin pubs in the Temple Bar area. My partner and I enjoyed Irish fare with a classic stew and bread (enjoyed the molasses & Guinness beer bread that came alongside the stew) to more contemporary plates like the Boxty take on a “Spicebag”. The best part were the appetisers (we ordered two portions of the fried pickles that had both prior to our mains and after). Desserts looked incredible but we frankly had no more space for it. They have a really good selection of beers and whiskey all complimented by the stellar service of wonderful FOH and wait staff. Our waiter, Mr Looney delighted us with stories, insights and knowledge (actually…he was the best part). Looked like there was a wait for tables but we started at bar tops and moved to tables shortly after. Would return for breakfast if I had missed my flight which is a reasonable occurrence in Dublin imo especially if you have an early morning flight.

Very good Irish restaurant / pub, with good specialties, good cocktails and a house stout to change from Guinness. I highly recommend the “Gallagher’s boxty platter” which was succulent in addition to being diverse. The only negative point was the service, which was a little slow the evening I was there (around 25 minutes for starters and main course 45 minutes later), but it is possible that the kitchen was overwhelmed this busy evening. You will need to book in advance to be sure of getting a place (especially at the end of the week).
